ganeshran Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 3 seamers + 1 spinner + Jaddu + Dhoni + 5 batsmen I reckon Zak, VK and PK will be bowling with Rahul/Ashwin. Batting would be Viru, Sehwag, GG, Kohli and Raina
Shunya Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 same old story...dropping an upcoming youngster to accomodate old n fading SRT...tragedy of Indian Cricket... hope they give an extended run to Kohli,Rohit,Rain,Jadeja this series and not make them fight against each other for few spots... they r not even the youngsters now...all have been around for long enough and still cant get into the team...
Hell Raiser Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Sachin Gambhir Kohli Rohit Raina Dhoni Ashwin/Jaddu Rahul Umesh Zaheer Pk
adi B Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 sachin gambo kohli sharma raina msd jaddu ashwin(rahul preferrably if he can bat) pk zak umesh no sehwag, harris, lee will eat him day in day out

Only Raina will be left out me thinks. And rightfully so. He's proven time and time again that he isn't the same overseas. And it's not like SRT is dead weight. Averages 57 in ODIs at 95, since 2009. (Not to mention this isn't the series to experiment. We've been embarrassed enough.)
adi B Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 trust me, if both pk nd vk play togethor, they will be smashed at the death overs nd we wont be able to pck 10 aus wickets

Me thinks he will be playing and Rohit will unfortunately warm the benches.
IKnowU Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Raina will be rested? Me thinks he will be playing and Rohit will unfortunately warm the benches. That would be a fkn joke. I hope Sehwag gets injured because hes the only one in the squad that doesnt deserve his spot based on form and past reputation.
Number Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 2 pacers with 20 overs of power play? Can't see that happening outside Asia. One out of Virat' date= Rohit and Raina will have to sit out if both Sachin and Sehwag play. Can go for it , IMO. Grounds here are bigger so its not that risky to get spinners for power-play.
achilles Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 That would be a fkn joke. I hope Sehwag gets injured because hes the only one in the squad that doesnt deserve his spot based on form and past reputation. They didn't play him in a lost test series and he got 1 T20 to bat in, in which he flopped. Would've liked to see him come today and toink a few around, but Dhoni chose today to promote himself. I think Rohit will have to "wait for his turn" as Viru isn't gonna be dropped and Raina is well, Raina and above scrutiny.

I don't think so..> IMO Rohit's stock has risen given the past few series and and don't think Raina can displace him in the side!!!
achilles Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I don't think so..> IMO Rohit's stock has risen given the past few series and and don't think Raina can displace him in the side!!! Ideally, Rohit should be making the XI. But then we know the ways of Indian cricket. Lets see bro.
bulbul Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Not more than a trundler plz.... No VK either he is useless in ODI... Irfan patan :yay:
VRV Singh Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Rohit will probably be dropped. Would be a real shame. But they probably feel that Raina is needed in lower-middle order as Jaddu is not a natural accelerator.
Magneto Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Sehwag will keep playing till he scores another double century :giggle:
bulbul Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Sehwag will keep playing till he scores another double century :giggle: he has to Improve the Best 200 (219 )ever scored in ODI into even greater one...
IKnowU Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Sehwag scoring 200 is like Afretard scoring the fastest century. Afretard made a career out of his maiden innings, by being the fastest centurion and pakodi fans hoping he repeats that for the past 16 yrs.
achilles Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Rohit will probably be dropped. Would be a real shame. But they probably feel that Raina is needed in lower-middle order as Jaddu is not a natural accelerator. Yep. They need atleast one big hitter in the XI. Last checked, Dhoni was taking singles in a friggin T20, Bhajji is fighting wrestlers and Jaddu isn't a batting allrounder anyway.

Except Viru has test triple centuries and brilliant strike rate with 50+ average :two_thumbs_up: Afridi is not fit to worship Sehwag's manboobs
