Have you guys been following the series England Lions is playing in the sub continent. He is just 21 and already smashing everyone around , his List A average 70+ and strike rate of 128+. PHENOMENAL. I dont think ive seen such consistency with such disdain together. What do you guys feel about him ????? FUTURE OF ENGLISH CRICKET ???

He is a wicket keeper batsman for Somerset and is one of the brightest newcomer in England. We will hear a lot about him in future. he played a huge role Somerset reaching final of their domestic T20.

The fact that he is the highest scorer in Sri Lanka says a lot about the skills he has. Sri Lanka is not an easy place to go BANG BANG, only few have achieved what he has achieved.

I thought Pommies don't care about the 50-over format and only discuss real cricket aka Test cricket. You also spoke about the future of English cricket so I thought you must be asking whether he is a future champion English Test cricketer. Well, he surely batted well, but they were playing on flat wickets (England crossed 250 four times out of 5, and 300 twice out of 5 times). Both Hales and Kieswetter averaged more than 50 and Root averaged more than 45. I think all of them are the future of England anyway the way your team is playing on the subcontinent. :hysterical: P.S. His main inspiration seems to be Ganguly's and Dravid's knocks at Taunton :woot:

Ive watched alot of him in the last couple of seasons in the 20/20 especially and he is awesome, really hits a long ball, plays as a keeper too. Best young player in England

Nobody noticed, but i see this as a very important step in England's development in the Sub Continent, England Lions playing Bangladesh, Sri lanka in Sub Continent conditions. They are planning for the future UNLIKE india who had forgot all the "A" tours to Fast Bouncy Wickets. Shame on BCCI!!!!! Kudos ECB. I wish some sense prevails in BCCI

Well i disagree, sri lanka lost by big margains, which indicates the English Bowling was very good too. specially NATAN BUCK, he is a Quick Lad,i remember him from U19 in New Zealand, he was touching 140s in the World Cup now he must be 90mph+, his economy is good too in the recent tournament, the fact that he is part of England Lions and is doing well, means England is seriously looking after his bowling and his development. He is also one to look out for.
