1987 WC Semi final loss to Eng...it was bitter to loss to a very average English team.
Thanks to that match, English batsmen still sweep whenever they are not able to read a spinner and get lbw :cantstop:

no crying shrying here.... but it was memorable for me. I was on client site in Korea, in a remote city.. all alone, and I guess it was sunday.. also my b'day eve.. I followed all the league/super-six matches over cricinfo... so built up lots of expectations for the final. In another city my other group of desi friends had bought some online-live-cast package...only for the final.... and I had figured out some online radio-commentary.. It was so heart breaking....IIRC after the match ( when it was virtually over) I got drunk and played online games for hours... The positive thing was, I had to spend next week working with Koreans, not even a single desi around, so no depressing post match discussions or such thing.
I was 19 then but still couldnt control my tears for two days i watched the match at my dad friend,s house what struck me was sachin played so well in the whole tournament 673 runs and i thought why cant they team perform once for the whole nation and him. 360 was always a big chase so i knew our time was up once sach got out. I remember lot of pakis in the college next day ridiculed our team then i replied as long as India keeps sending Pakistan out of the world cup India world cup is half won.

I would like to jump in here. Worst losses. 1996 QF. Losing from that start with supposedly our strong middle order needing 5 an over against a weak Indian bowling was hard to take. Sydney test. Aus were 50/8 effectively and what proceeded with all those drops by kami was a bitter pill to swallow. Ireland 2007 was horrendous but followed with Woolmer dying put things in perspective. Losing to Eng at home in Karachi was another low point.

The 2003 cup was during my board exams but I still followed all matches. The final was lost in the first 10 overs itself - poora KLPD ho gaya.
i was in 5th standard nd my exams were overs, just to see a walloping another disappointment was vs england 3rd test 2006 mumbai, , india were 50 odd for 2 nd it was almost lunch, i went to my friends house for an hour or so , returned back hoping india would survive the day, but rather got destroyed by that bald fooking f@ggot udal.... biggest disappointment was, of all the bowlers, udal
