Yoda-esque Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 statement about what? about the impending future of India.
KhanSaab Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 about the impending future of India. which is.............?
anotherhawkeye Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Why hint at something if you are not gonna go there? KhanSaab is here.
Yoda-esque Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 which is.............? Its called rhetoric...go back to my original post and stop being the troll that you are.
KhanSaab Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 KhanSaab is here. Why thank you for the warm welcome. How is it goin in des moine?
Clarke Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I can see where you want me to go and I am not going there. Try reading some newspapers and by that I mean the Hindu not the TOI:winky: I seriously did not follow the pattern (Iran/Afghanistan/Pakistan => India?) you implied earlier and hence was curious on your opinion. Even those nations had major differences in their respective domestic issues. India went through far more testing times in the 80s/90s than whatever i can think of in the near future. That's my opinion, feel free to disagree with some justification.
ganeshran Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 This should be an interesting development for South Block. Iran is fully capable of doing this. If it is okay for Israel to kill Irani Scientists it is fair game for Iran to do so as well. On the other hand Iran needs India desperately from drastic measures like getting attacked. So why would they jeopardise their relationship with India for something small as this?? Not on our territory, it isnt.
ganeshran Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Iran has no reason to throw a wrench in its relations with India (since India along with Russia and China are the only countries batting for Iran at the international stage). Its a Paki job through and through (my suspicion). They benefit the most as this kind of an act put doubts in India's relations with both Israel and Iran. Its most likely that they werent able to chose where to carry out the attack because of the high security the embassy enjoys in the western countries and Israel not having diplomatic relations with many Muslim countries. India was a the softest target I guess
punjabi_khota Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Interesting to see whether the internal investigations bear any fruit, that's one field where lots of progress needs to be made. In what sense ? Rise in religious extremism ? If yes, Saffron or Green ? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Saffron terrorism
Stuge Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 As per TV reports this guy on the motorcycle was following them for the past 4 days .What was Delhi police, and govt doing :O I'm sure they had prior intelligence about Israel diplomats can be targeted by terrorists. This is really dumb . Govt as usual won't name or ado anything in this case because of dumb vote bank politics :|
asterix Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Conspiracy Theory: CIA got it done..to put pressure on India to join the embargo on Iran which India is trying to avoid..
ViruRulez Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I have some serious problems with the whole middle east as well as the proxy wars played by the West and especially US in that region. But to be honest, I doubt Iran would have ever carried out this strike. Iran has everything to lose and nothing to gain from such a strike inside Indian soil as India is one of the only countries batting openly for Iran especially against the sanctions. So, they would never disturb their relations with India by carrying on such a strike. I do not like especially the president of Iran (I also do not like the current head of Israel, to some extent US and all the other middle eastern countries) but I doubt Iran is foolish enough to axe their own feet by attacking anybody inside India. So, the chances are almost non-existent. I am not a conspiracy theorist but if there is involvement of other countries, then the only two countries who can benefit the most by this act are Pakistan and US and more specifically the ISI and CIA. Pakistan and ISI does not want India to have a good relationship with Iran, Israel or the rest of the Arab world or for that matter Western world as they have been losing ground continuously in the Middle East too while India's image has only been becoming better with time. And India's friendship with Iran is not the most profitable strategically for Pakis as they are now gradually surrounded on every side by either India or India-friendly countries. So, they might be afraid of that too. So, such an attack might hamper India's image from their point of view and thus, benefiting them. Another player who can benefit a lot is CIA. US has been trying to persuade India to cut off every relation with Iran but India has openly defied US too and is saying that it will deal directly with Iran if needed without the involvement of US dollar. So, CIA might have thought such an attack and possible hampering of relationship will make India think twice about dealing with Iran. However, nothing of that sort has happened and India has continued good relationship with both Iran as well as Israel as it always does. So, if any foreign power was involved then it did not benefit their purpose for sure. :P In addition to that, there might be other suspects such as Mossad, internal elements in India including Kashmiri elements or fanatics from any religion of India. But those would not have benefited anybody that much and it was not going to be as big a win-win situation as compared to the Pakis/ISI or CIA. But Iran govt. for sure would be the last suspect in my list for carrying out an attack when they need India so much.
Clarke Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 The Bangkok attempt was rather funny :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Saffron terrorism :haha: What's the latest on the Samjhauta express bombing ?
Lurker Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Not on our territory' date=' it isnt.[/quote'] Oh yeah of course. We need to be clear to both Israel and Iran that we wont tolerate this. That being said this seems to be too small for either of these countries to get involved in. Wonder whats the story behind the scene.
asterix Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Viru, the sophisticated nature of the attack rules out ISI. This has to be a CIA job. However, given the 'anti-terror' mechanism India in general & Delhi police in particular (which is more competent in dealing with opposition parties, midnight attacks on sleeping activists & investigating political whistle blowers) is, they might find less sophisticated attacks could do the job in future. The helpless tone of Chidu mama might encourage them.
surajmal Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 if the perpetrators aren't caught soon, then it is definitely a paki operation because paki cells would have plenty of help to escape (or hide) from domestic traitors once the job is done. I don't think a hezbollah/iran operation could hide so easily in India. Another thing to note here is, if it is paki operation, then there could be a Saudi hand in it (highlighting the sunni shia divide). Because Saudis aren't too fond of Iran possibly acquiring nukes either. Sunni vs. Shia conflict is seriously being underplayed here in this Nuclear Iran scenario. Saudis may not be vociferously condemning Iran but through backdoors, they could be doing some major fvcking around with Iranian interests.

Remember :ones ememy is others friend .So its very much possible that terrorist organisation in pak might have helped iran to execute their plans in India . I might be terribly wrong as well . as Viru said earlier in his post that Iran has lot to lose and nothing to gain by using Indian soil to attack Israeli diplomats .

Seriously this whole thing smells of a conspiracy (even the assassinations of Iranian scientists).
ganeshran Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I doubt the Bangkok episode even though India one is more believable. Which Israeli were they targeting in the attack?
