khanjee Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 How come this guy hasn't played a single game in this series so far? Last match that he played he score a century..didn't he? Plus with all the rotation etc, doesn't he deserve a chance when guys like Raina and Sharma are failing?

Magneto Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Almost every batter in this team is droppable, but they'll not get dropped. :giggle:
asterix Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 He'll play in place of Nohit Sharma in the next match..
rkt.india Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 The one who is not playing is always better. He is worse than Rohit against pace.
khanjee Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 The one who is not playing is always better. He is worse than Rohit against pace. sure that make sense..since most of us on here thought rd, srt or lax should be dropped to play Rohit and we've seen what he has been doing in odi series now..
Karan114 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 The one who is not playing is always better. He is worse than Rohit against pace. Possibly, but there's no point carrying Rohit Sharma forever if he keeps failing match after match. Rohit did well against WI but even Manoj Tiwary made a hundred against them.
Magneto Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 The one who is not playing is always better. He is worse than Rohit against pace. Can't do worse than zero. Time to try out people for 2-3 matches than people who have failed in 7 consecutive matches.
skindia Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 shame on srikkanth...he wants consistency from uthappa...what the hell other batsman are doing....playing once in blue moon in 8 matches

The Dark Horse Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 ^I support the legend, but I speak about other things as well :P
NareshK Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I dont think Tiwary can play in bouncy and seamer friendly conditions either. Most Indian batsmen struggle in those conditions. Its better if Rohit gets as much opportunities as he can in this tour as he showed he can be consistent in Indian conditions. He has to get used to playing in Australia.

Most of the Indian batsmen cannot play in these conditions. Better to give Tiwary a run rather than declaring him to be a failure already. And Rohit hasn't done anything to deserve a place in the team anymore. Failure in SA, failure in Australia and still he's the 'chosen one'.

skindia Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Rohit sharma has too much support from mumbai lobby thats why he is getting many chances..
Zelch Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 He is in Saurav Da's camp...so no place in Indian Team

Failure in SA' date=' failure in Australia and still he's the 'chosen one'.[/quote'] Agreed, this "can't play in bouncy conditions" argument is a bit weird because using that, you may as well axe the vast majority of Indian cricketers, they suck against pace and bounce. Tiwary has only gotten six ODIs in four years, and he has already scored a hundred in one of them. Rohit has been given 77 ODIs but apart from piling on the runs against the no.8 side, he hasn't achieved much.
saneindian Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Should play in the next ODI. Raina has had enough failures now starting with the WI series.
