Not sure of his use in ODIs though.[/quote'] I know many experts have been saying that he should be preserved for the tests but in last 10-12 years, the most successful bowlers have been who are playing in limited over matches as well. And also I believe, playing in limited overs can teach you a lot about pickets wickets as well. Obviously, tests are totally diff from ODI and quality is totally diff. But, they learn natural tendency to pick wickets and learn to restrict the batsmen in limited overs more, IMO

Brett Lee has worked with James Pattinson to make him better. McDermott has been teaching probing and consistent line and length to the young Aussie quicks whose natural tendency was to bang the ball halfway down. Look at how an ordinary Peter Siddle has suddenly become unplayable by bowling accurately at high pace. Umesh also needs guidance and needs to improve. No question of him being written off but it is true that we are not grooming our fast bowling talent and making best use of them. It is quite remarkable how teams like Australia, South Africa, England and even New Zealand, when they find someone genuine quick, they makes the most of those bowlers. I mean, have a look at their first class matches- James Pattinson- 13 first class games including his 4 test matches Pat Cummins- 4 first class games including his 1 test Mitchell Starc- 17 first class games before his test debut Marchant De Lange- 17 first class games including his 1 test Doug Bracewell- 18 first class games before his test debut And each and every one is performing at international level and not struggling like Indian bowlers. Or we can say that team management and coaching staff is taking care of bringing the best out of these guys

Oh really! Guys, we have got a totally new thought coming from Mr Newton. So Mr Newton, you mean to say that he needs to be sent back to domestic cricket and play there coz according to you he has not played enough first class. Is that what you mean? Coz there was no effect of his speeds on the batsmen today. He was spraying it all over the place. No control, no thinking, no consistency, nothing. it was like you were batting against a bowling machine

Now that Eric Simmons knows that his contract time will be getting over after this series and BCCI has already appointed a new bowling coach, I wonder how much commitment would have left in Eric Simmons now in his job's last few phases. BTW, I appreciate Eric Simmons for atleast Munaf Patel's World cup performance. The rest of his work is not that appreciable.

So why according to you Indian bowlers struggle more whereas other teams bowlers with even lesser first class experience looks like gods of cricket. I am talking about genuine quicks here.

My point is, when such talent comes on the scene, team management should take care that he should be used in a best possible way. Other thing is if he was groomed properly by BCCI before his inclusion in Indian team, then he'd have performed much better. He was not groomed properly by BCCI. And also he has not been able to perform upto his potential. Sometimes team management doesn't make the best use of him and sometimes he is clueless what to do in different situations. Delange's 40 runs were acceptable in the context of the match and given that was his first T20 match. But Yadav has some experience now and his performance in the context of the match was not acceptable. Look at how well Sri-lankan bowlers have bowled so far in first 15 overs on the same pitch where Umesh Yadav was looking like a club bowler and had no clue
