Vijay.Sharma Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Keeping with the theme let us pick the top ATG bowlers of all time - let's pick 15. My picks (in no particular order) Wasim, Murali, Garner, McGrath, Kumble, Holding, Ambrose, Warne, Hadlee, Waqar, Pollock, Saqlain, Lee, Vaas, Srinath honorary mention - Kapil, Donald I think this will yield even better discussion than the batsmen
express bowling Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Garner and Ambrose were 2 of the best ever to bowl in the ODIs. Srinath was a pretty ordinary ODI bowler especially during his first 6 yrs or so and could not bowl at the death. ( he was a good test bowler )
vamos_rafa Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Wasim bhai tops the list for me. Warnie was a genuine match-winner. He was phenomenol in the '99 WC semis and finals. Kumble was our go-to bowler in the 90's. Also, talking anout ODI's, NZ had a few utility bowlers. Gavin Larsen was an example. His ER was one of the best in the business.

Windies needed 40 odd runs with 8 wickets in hand and collapsed in a heap.
Vijay.Sharma Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 MAlcom MarshallHe didn't really take the world by storm in ODI cricket. In fact I'd rate Kapil ahead of Malcolm Marshall in ODIs
daryl1985 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Surprised no-one has mentioned Shane Bond yet. He was an outstanding ODI bowler. As good as any i have seen.
Tiger80 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 What about Lasith malinga ,the only bowler who has taken 4 wickets in 4 balls
rkt.india Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Surprised no-one has mentioned Shane Bond yet. He was an outstanding ODI bowler. As good as any i have seen. because of short career...very less matches.
vamos_rafa Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 because of short career...very less matches. Yes.
