Cricket is many things to many people to me however it is a celebration and having all my friends over to dinner to have a home cooked meal typifies all the great things about the landscape of the cricketing community. Some of these include, mateship/family, cultural inclusion and versatility of experience, long may the wonderful relationships between two great countries, India & Australia continue. Oh and by the way, the kitchen table is the ideal place to bring all these elements together.

Pappu was with KTK last year' date=' and I forgot who bought him this season, but he's not with CSK from last 2 years. Good to see Hayden there as well.[/quote'] Hayden invited them because he played for CSK too.

CSK strategy for IPL 2012: 1. Mess with Gambhir - check. 2. Mess with Viru - check. 3. Mess with Tendulkar - check. Abuse of authority. Corruption at it's worst. :headshake:

Nice to see Hayden but is it prudent for a grp of cricketers(CSK) to be indulging in their own private thing that effectively separates them from the "Indian Team". Dhoni is as always like "I couldnt care less if Indian team is loosing all its matches"

Every team always goes out in different groups for dinner/outings on non match days barring the official dinners. Happens at home, happens more often on tours. This was a case of an ex CSK guy inviting his former team mates for a meal at home. Can't see any reason why MSD and co should have said" Thanks haydos, but can we bring along the other 15-20 memebrs of the touring party as well".

In this case, its just a case of Hayden inviting some former teammates/friends in an informal setting, which is fine. But even if it was an official function organized by Chennai, the boss of the BCCI is also the boss of the Chennai Super Kings, so there isn't much division between the Chennai team/India anyway, is there?
