Guys who shud be dropped for Asia Cup should be- Sachin Sehwag Jadeja ZAk needs a break from one days - he shud only play tests Even Praveen should be dropped as he has allrounder Potential but has been a failure as a batter and as a Bowler - he is a defensive bowler and possibly not international Class for me. DINDA shud get his chance.

Quite a few players gonna get dropped by the selectors on Feb 29th meet..
don think any will be dropped apart from Pappu. We do n to have any players to replace them and these guys will be world beater in Asia Cup.

Dave Cheating Sissey's dismissal would have made a difference' date=' it took the stuffing out for fight, and Tendulkar's dismissal I think really irate the team further.[/quote'] Yea, true. Everyone including captain was over-reacting coz it was Sachin who suffered.

The Story is that Sehwag will hit a fantastic rapidfire century in India and all his failures will be carpetted- That's the issue our selectors and Puble always have a short view ....
Shytwag needs to be immediately kicked out of the team. Not to be included even for the next match

Hope so... :antijinx: But' date=' our selectors have the balls to drop any senior men even after this drubbing. I don't think so[/quote'] For seniors, the term will be "rested"..But it's gonna happen..The CB Series was the last straw..Failure in Test series is fine..The moment you start losing ODIs in bunch then the problem arises for BCCI..

Who selectors will chose in place of SRT, Viru, Zak etc.

But where are the replacements? Who selectors will chose in place of SRT' date=' Viru, Zak etc.[/quote'] Rahane is coming back for sure..KKD might come back (could even open the innings with Gauti) and first down, Rahane. I think Dhoni too might get a break (and Gauti leads the team in Asia cup). Zak will be rested. Look there are no like-to-like replacements and could never be. But I think selectors will get in more new faces. Aaron might come back... VK will be the "senior pro" in place of Zak who will take the opportunity to "lead" the Indian bowling attack in the absence of Zak..(I'm okay with that)..

Problem is KKD is not a solution. Need to find solutions, not just short term fix, need to find a permanent opener. I would like Mukund opening. Rahane is struggling since he has come back from Australia. Aaron i snot yet fit so Dinda may come back. Dhoni is must in Asia cup. We are defending champions and our middle order is already inconsistent. Uthappa should come back too. We can also try Rohit Sharma as an opener as we are not getting many openers and our past ODI openers have also been middle order bats. Parvinder Awana has taken 12 wickets at average of 8 and economy of 3.21 in VH trophy.

I agree Dhoni is a must and coming back early from Oz tour might help Dhoni to get a weeks break more. Yes, Dinda will come in as Aaron is not ready. I like the Mukund option. He should get another chance. Uthappa has no chance oncoming back in ODIs. He could be in T20 squads.

Varun Aaron is turning into another clown from our Indian team. Man, don't he realize his duty at all to be fit on time? He is taking it so lightly. Here in the past, some players were not even 100% fit yet they declared themselves fit and eager to comeback into the Indian team like Munaf or Zaheer or Sehwag. Atleast they showed the eagerness to play for the country. Here the case is exactly opposite with Varun Aaron. Noone exactly knows about his injury as yet. Since the West Indies ODI series, he is claiming, I will get fit soon. First he claimed I will get fit before Australia tests and then he claimed, I will get fit for CB series. Then he claimed I will get fit for Asia cup. Now, the team selection is on 29 feb and this bhencho is not yet fit and played any domestic match as well. Baap ki team samajha hua hai India ko. One thing is for sure, he will definitely get fit on time for IPL.

Yar, now what is the problem with Dinesh Karthik? He has scored lots of runs. He can definitely replace pappu. He can open as well till the time we find a proper opener. Or we can open with Uthappa as well. But Karthik deserves to be in the team. And there are lots of replacements, if we are ready to give opportunities to youngsters. We just got to have the balls to drop these maha-failures senior men.

You are talking like fitness is in his hands. He should not be hurried. He is young and can get stronger and cope with these injuries if takes proper rehabilitation. Mitchell Johnson is one of the fittest fast bowler right now and amazing stamina, but he had suffered 4 back stress fracture by the time he was 22, so one side it is good that Aaron had all these back problems at an early age. His body will mold itself into a more tolerable one and he will only get stronger. He never said he will be fit for Australia test. Back injuries do not heal so soon. He might have started bowling by now we do not have any news for last 15-20 days but he cannot assess how fit he is until he plays domestic cricket. I feel he will be playing in Devdhar trophy if he gets fit.

^ One's fitness is always in his own hands. Its always upto you if you want to play for your country, you got to maintain those levels of fitness that anytime if there is call from the national side, you should be ready. Not this dibbly-dobbly type of attitude that I will be fit soon, then I will come. Right now, I am not ready. If he has not been able to maintain his fitness than its his failure. How big is his fitness problem, is he going through some serious surgery or having cancer problem like Yuvraj Singh? He is out for 3 months, now you can yourself imagine his attitude towards fitness and comeback into the team. Man, he is a new-comer to the Indian team, hardly got to play 3-4 ODIs after 6 months of traveling with the team, he should had been ready and charged up all the time.

Let me remind you, The team for Aus tour was selected on 26 Nov. Varun Aaron played his last match against WI on 2nd of Dec. Then there was a change on 5 Dec when Praveen Kumar was ruled out. At that time, it was said that Varun Aaron(who didn't play any match in WI odis after 2 Dec) that he had a niggle but he will be fit on time. Then, the second change came on 9 Dec when Varun Aaron was ruled out of the Aus tests. Here are a couple of links, pl check. http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/story/543904.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia-v-india-2011/content/story/544459.html So, I was correct when I said that 3-4 claims were made on Varun Aaron(from various quarters) that he will be fit by tests, then CB series then Asia Cup. But, he will definitely be fit for IPL.

Are you a fool or something? No one can do any thing regarding back stress fractures. These injuries are not in control of any and most genuine fast bowlers suffer these injuries and there is no way you can prevent them at an early age. The best thing one can do is to recover well from them and take time before come back. These injuries occur due to stress on back while bowling and are common for any genuine pacer. There is no antidote to these injuries.
