Prakat Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Looks like Seinfeld is the Sachin Tendulkar of comedy shows. The best part is the way they present it - it's a show about "nothing". Way too good! Back in the late 90s Star Plus used to show these Brit Comedies every night at 9. Each and every one of them was amazing. There was Allo Allo, Some Mothers Do Have 'Em, then there was this show about a clothes department store. O by the way - have you guys heard of "Keeping Up Appearances", and "My Family" - again Brit comedies. Damn I am telling ya British comedies are in a whole different league when compared to American ones with notable exceptions like Seinfeld, Friends, and Frasier. 'Are You Being Served?' It was the "Carry On" series of TV with the double entendre and the naughty bits. Some very memorable characters... like Mr. Peacock and the Old man with the sexy nurses.

And then the hahahahaha-meter plays :WTF:[/quote'] I don't mind cursing much, as long as I find it funny. It's just that its a lot harder to be funny, if you don't curse. aah, this reminds me of Ricky Gervais. I quite enjoyed his show Extras. Never got to see Office though.

Mind Your Language was a favourite when I saw it first as a ten year old. But when I saw it years later it seemed a little simple and innocent almost. Loved some of the set pieces like the Sikh and the Pakistani abusing each other, or the Italian and the Greek fighting over the French girl. And the Japanese - Ah-so... and the Hungarian who nobody could understand.
