Umpiring standard used to be like this

I think Gatting is quite guilty here but that kind of decision used to be common those days. Good that TV coverage started to get a bit robust and people started to make noise about the biased umpiring. If the players and the public didn't make any kind of noise about the dismal umpiring standards then, we still would have been witnessing similar standard of umpiring to date.

Ya' date=' Javed Miandad was very popular for padding away every delivery and was never given out. It´s such a shame that it´s writtten in his profile:giggle:. [b']Ah! Those days´ Umpiring used to be pathetic. Every batsman at home averaged more than 50 at in Tests only because of the Umpires.
i thought you were born yesterday. :giggle:

What nonsense! If you say that I am only 16 and can´t tell about old days then you are wrong! After all' date=' there is www.cricinfo.com ! Go to their stats filter and find out every batsmen-bowlers flaws.
yea right. how about this huh, huh?
When did Kapil himself performed in crunch situation. 175 against Zimbabwe???? Minnow??? Has he played such Innings against Australia, West Indies or England??? Remember World Cup Semi-Final 1987?
Did cricinfo remind you about 1987 cup finals which happened 4 years before you were born? :giggle:

thats the reason i say "exclude the sharjah/pak games statistics" when a pakistani comes to me and says that pak won more games then India by huge margin... the umpiring used to be so crap...
Do you consider matches played in IND as legitimate? If yes then please look at the record IND vs PAK in IND Played: 21 Won by PAK: 15 Won by IND: 6

Amazing how no one ever mentions about the umpiring standards in another countries e.g the 1988 PAK WI series in WI, Gooch's run out which was denied during the 92 Headingly test, the 1981 series between WI and NZ in NZ, the 1982 series between PAK and ENG in ENG and many more! Another important thing to note is that it was Imran Khan(the Pakistani captain) who pushed the most for neutral umpire.

Not pushed it was case of utter embarrssment driven face saving call. Incidentally the momnet neutral umpire came , chucker ball-tamperer attack of waqar imran waseem could not win even a single test match against one of the weakest indian team in 89.. proof was for everyone there to see..
