Adi_91 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Its head to head first but In that case head to head cannot decide. As BD India SL all 3 have 1 win and 1 defeat ' date=' so it will go on nrr.[/quote'] But the tri series in Aus, before the last league game against SL and Aus, both SL and Ind were tied on 15 points and the scenario was simple. Sl should lose, which meant both Ind and SL were tied on 15 points and in head to head, in 4 games against SL, India had won 2 lost 1 and tied 1. So that meant that India with a better head to head record would go thrpugh. But in this tournament. Suppose we lose today, SL win against BD. Then Ind, SL and Ban will be tied in 4 pointsm which means between Ind and BD, BD has won in the only match. So wont BD go through?

Number Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 But BD lost to SL and SL also have 4 points. As All of them have 4 points. India defeated SL , SL defeated BD , BD defeated Ind. So no team can go through on the head to head basis. So nrr will decide.

I know, but they still have a fair chance of going through to the finals. Only scenario for them is an Ind loss today and they beating Bangladesh with a bonus point. Amazing how an upset win can even give a no hope team great hope.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 clearly this seems to be a much bigger deal for pakistan. In india there isnt that much of an interest. even i wont care much if we lose- bowling is pretty poor and we need big batting performance to win Agree. Texy's prep is what you'd expect for a WC match.

In india there isnt that much of an interest. even i wont care much if we lose- bowling is pretty poor and we need big batting performance to win Any India-Pak match is very very important for Pakis. A win against India reaffirms their faith in everything they believe and stand for i.e., 26/11... big hearted vs small hearted etc.. Number Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Poor bowling really. Very easy wicket to bat but we still would would have kept them under 290 if Pathan and PK had bowled well.
1983-2011 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Preparation for the game: 1. Printed out giant poster of Goddy and Umar Gul praying to him 2. Printed out a spreadsheet of gaalis to be screamed every time Afridi comes on the screen 8. Qued up old india-pak you tube videos to be watched an hr prior to the start as a process of warming up 9. Unveiling my new sphinx hookah with Al-fakher shisha --- grape, double apple, mint 10. Pic of Afridi's face has been printed out to be taped to the Dart board...it will take the brunt of anguish....every time anger, rage, sadness due to Indian wickets fall occur hope its going well, have shisha at the end, it will help erase bad memories and no hangover

Number Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I don't give a fOOk about whether we are in the finals or not. I just wanted to win this. Thanks Kohli. And if this game doesn't give an Idea how sh!t our bowling is , nothing will. I'll just hope they have some frigging sense.
