kabira Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 ^yes one player who has average of Sachin as batsman and average of Zaheer Khan as bowler. Imagine India in future without these two..
Ultimate_Game Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 ^yes one player who has average of Sachin as batsman and average of Zaheer Khan as bowler. Imagine India in future without these two.. Yup SA will find it very hard to cover for Kallis once he retires. Kallis was once in a generation sort of player and will be sorely missed by SA.
kabira Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 not to derail the thread. I think SA have underachieved in test cricket. Even now with superb bowling they struggle, even lost a test match against Lanka. They should be Number 1 with the bowling attack they have and batting talent as well with Kallis, Amla and ABV...
cameron_black Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 ^yes one player who has average of Sachin as batsman and average of Zaheer Khan as bowler. Imagine India in future without these two.. can that be considered as an outstanding achievement? doubt it.
ganeshran Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Kallis has been useless with the ball for quite some time now. He had a purple patch 1-2 years ago but now just is used to give rest to the main bowlers
Cricket Tragic Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Kallis has been useless with the ball for quite some time now. He had a purple patch 1-2 years ago but now just is used to give rest to the main bowlers You're right. You can't really call him an all rounder these days.
Needforspeed Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Sri Lanka heat 'unbelievable' - Pietersen http://www.espncricinfo.com/sri-lanka-v-england-2012/content/current/story/558474.html Are England already coming up with excuses before the series has begun? :hysterical:
indiaregulator Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 How is saying a country is hot an excuse? You honestly are insanely deluded.
wobblydoggy Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Good win for Ingerland. :nice: Yep, but the real stuff starts monday
adi B Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 the english will sweat like feckin pigs, very hot nd humid to add to the misery
mishra Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I am not sure what pitch Asian minnows are going to produce... Hundreds are going to rain from Kooks bat... All the way captain Cook :aha: KP brings the form from Dubail.....
deathmonger Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 can that be considered as an outstanding achievement? doubt it. zaheer khan after is his comeback is one of the best bowlers in the world. his early days malign his overall stats. like anderson and broad.
Chandan Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 can that be considered as an outstanding achievement? doubt it. Any bowler, especially seamer, who has 300+ test wickets, should be considered better just being a "good" bowler if not outstanding. And Zaheer is not too far from 300.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 I am not sure what pitch Asian minnows are going to produce... Hundreds are going to rain from Kooks bat... All the way captain Cook :aha: KP brings the form from Dubail..... Better hope it's not the test form. He averaged 11.

jairamesh Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I hope England clobber the Loins, But just don't see it happening, Sri Lanka to take this series 1-0 Matt Prior is England's only hope to score big runs on turners, the rest are as incompetent as they come.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 How do you know that there will be turners?
cameron_black Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 the curator has said the first team to bat on the galle pitch will definitely score 400+. the pitch was relaid after the dustbowl v AUS raised questions.
