BERGKAMP Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 wonderful knock I have never seen such innings in my life . Made world-beater wannabe's look like NOOBS.:finger: Too bad he wasn't there to finish the inning. You just won another fan :--D:hysterical::yay: it will be interesting to see how fans of other teams will regard him in the years to come when he is pwning everyone everywhere. i think most will and already do hate him because of his aggressive in your face attitude. but i'm glad we have a fiery character back in the side after a long time. reminds me of gangus F.U attitude to the rest of the world.
Utalk Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 This guy is a special player and world of cricket is better for it. I like his attitude rather his kind then timid Azhar ud din who was also a special talent but took beatings as if he did not care throughout 90s. Kohli should be your future captain. He reminds me of Ganguly in early 2000s. When you are playing for your country then showing emotions is a good thing to have.
kabira Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 We have immensely talented batting. But most lack temperament. This guy is hungry for runs. He is willing to grind if necessary. He respects conditions, thats a good sign. I must there are other who are more talented than him but this guy has special temperament and immense self confidence (I can do anything). Difference between him and Rohit is, Rohit gets happy with 30s and 40s, this guy loves to bat for long.
kabira Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 > "I am a big fan of Rohit Sharma's batting," Kohli said. "When he plays a long innings, he is a treat to watch. It is an absolute pleasure to bat alongside him." Thats a class statement from Kohli. Future Captain Indeed

Future Captain Indeed Nothin beats this one though: "Well he has carried the nation for 22 years, it was our turn to carry him now"

As compared to Kohli's "I can do anything" - Rohit has - "I can do it anytime, for now let me just take a nap." Thats why, playing dot balls, and then suddenly exquisite strokes out of nowhere.
CoverDrive Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 He passed 3000 ODI runs in the VB series and he is already at 3590 and has added almost 500 runs in last 4 matches. he is in red hot form!!

Although his ODI innings are getting ever more brilliant, for me the most important innings were at Perth and Adelaide in the Test matches. Till then he had struggled quite a bit away from Asia, but he learned from his failures and genuinely improved as the tour went on. That sort of desire to get the very most out of your talent is lacking in most of our younger players these days.
Utalk Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Yes that hundred in Aus test series was a breakthrough innings for him. Now see him dominate at test level.
