Sean Bradley Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Isnt Saeed Ajmal the most untested spinner in the world ?? Who has he really bowled to be rated the best?? England? Srilanka? No spinner is rated untill he suceeds against us ! He is yet to bowl to Sehwag, Yousuf Pathan (in odis), hasnt played a single test against us. When i say untested, i mean attacked, someone using his feet, playing attacking shots, we saw one example of his temperament, when M. Hussey took him for cleaners...and he had no clue... Not to take anything away from him, hes good, but not the best !!
Sean Bradley Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Mods, Please change the title to yet to be tested
achilles Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Swann? Seriously? The guy couldn't bowl in India with his nuts on the line.
ganeshran Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Who do you want him to prove himself against. Has done quite well against everyone he played
Kean0 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I believe Michael Clarke took the Indian batting line up to the cleaners in India once. Does this mean he is officially the best spinner around? Being a great, in my eyes, is not about doing it against one side but to consistently do it all around the World. I believe Ajmal does that.
SLICKR392 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Mr. Graeme Swann ! Most over rated spinner! When Monty was called in the 2nd Test against Pak (2011) he got 2 fifers in 2 matches. Swanny couldn't even spin the ball well. Lad is just lucky.
adi B Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 oh without a shadow of doubt ajmal is the best spinner in the world right now, i kinda feel he is more dangerous than murali nd warne
Vijy Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 oh without a shadow of doubt ajmal is the best spinner in the world right now' date=' i kinda feel he is more dangerous than murali nd warne[/quote'] Have you taken a look at the stats Murali had during his best years, i.e after he became a threat and excluding the last 1-2 years? I think he took something like 8 wickets per match during that period.

akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 ^ Agree, Murali is comfortably well ahead of his peers.
akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Ajmal just needs a series of 3-4 test matches against India to be put in his place.
Number Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Saqlain was also very good ODI bowler in his prime.
Vijy Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Saqlain was also very good ODI bowler in his prime. Yes, he was the leading spinner in ODIs for quite some time.
Sean Bradley Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Sir. Saeed Ajmal, bowled half his life in UAE to the english gingers and our dear Macha's, he is best bowling to the rests..and hence i rest my case
