Crookbond Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 MY WORD they will create history (P)Atthar Ali Khan! :giggle:
Needforspeed Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Will be convinced only if they show more consistency in high pressure situations. Having said this, excellent performance till now in the Asia Cup and wishing BD all the best for winning the cup
Cricket Tragic Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Shakib is mediocre. The only player who has the ability to become a world class player is Tamim.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Tamim and Shakib are their pillars at the moment and I was impressed by Nasir Hosain. Overall they are showing improvement and are finally at a stage where they put up a fight every game.
ravishingravi Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 They are world class. Two matches is all it takes for them to be world beaters.
Magneto Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Shakib is mediocre. The only player who has the ability to become a world class player is Tamim. In ODIs, batting wise, Shakib averages 35.11, which is more than either Suresh Raina or Rohit Sharma. Also has more centuries and 50s than either of them. In ODIs, bowling wise, he averages 28.98, which is a better average than any other allrounder in the world presently (including Watson and Kallis). Has 156 wickets with a strike rate of 40. There's a reason why he has dominated the ICC Top Allrounder Charts for years now. Tamim is obviously talented, but Shakib has been a lot more consistent than him and has achieved more as well.
Pagalpanti Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 His stats are glorified by playing the likes of Ireland, Zimbabwe and other minnows.
singhprakash72 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 If I can compare them (not fair but just for argument) they are somewhat like SL team of late 80s wining few ODIs but overall still below par in Test. But SL did went on to win WC in less than a decade so I am positive a more powerful team will emerge in next 5-10 yrs to challenge other heavy weights.
coffee_rules Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Go Bangla tigers!!!! Don't go extinct... Congratulations for reaching the finals!!!! Play against your father nation Pak in the final.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Go Bangla tigers!!!! Don't go extinct... Congratulations for reaching the finals!!!! Play against your father nation Pak in the final. I thought their father nation would be India :dontknow: coz without India there wouldn't be any B'desh
Magneto Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 His stats are glorified by playing the likes of Ireland' date=' Zimbabwe and other minnows.[/quote'] Not really. He has scored a huge number of runs against Zimbabwe, but he has scored good knocks against other countries as well. This is the breakup (in terms of countries) of his 28 fifty-plus scores: Zim - 8 India - 4 Pakistan - 3 West Indies - 3 South Africa - 2 SL - 2 NZ - 2 England - 1 Australia - 1 Ireland - 1 Canada - 1 12 at home, 16 away from home. 18 fifty plus scores against non-minnows. As a reference, Raina has 21 fifty plus scores against non-minnows but he's played 21 more matches than Shakib. And he's just about 25.

J P K Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 i never support them :sniffle: :omg: i am surprised
chainsmoker1985 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 They've already done that before - beating the defending WC champs and finalists in the same year. That's really a big achievement man !! Seriously, 1 win against a big team/year on average.. MY WORD, Whadda a team ... All hail our new upcoming World Champions :cheer:
chainsmoker1985 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Also, don't forget, they have got world class commentator in 'MY WORD, History Has Been Created Athar Ali Khan' :hysterical:

chainsmoker1985 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Sarcastic mat ban. They have beaten India more times than they have beaten any other world champion :finger: So what, if they have won 3-4 matches out of 30-40 games.. Everyone knows the class of Indian cricket team and we hardly play seriously against these minnow sides.. We either field our weaker teams or sometimes our attitude towards the game while playing against a minnow side is not good.. India r still World Champions and BangoMangos are still a weak, poor, pathetic, sympathy gaining minnow side :finger:
