Nowadays In indian cricket Everybody seems to enjoying Immunity ,However bad you perform you will not be dropped ,Perfect example are Guys like Praveen Kumar and Jadeja and Raina to a certain extent in odis They have been given Long ropes really long.Same can be said about the test squad.Add to that a captain who has Lost handsomely but still people live in delusions about his leadership qualities .His decison are biased ,inept and bizzare plus a chief selector who is a laughing stock plus a coach who cannot even give throw downs which gary kirsten excelled in,Its free for all in indian cricket.

Our main problem starts at the top, i.e. with Srinivasan, Rajiv Shukla, Sharad Pawar, Srikkanth etc. Every single bigwig at BCCI is n conflict of interest be it the head of BCCI or the chief selector. We are in a position where the IPL and Team India interests conflict wit BCCI head oning an IPL franchise, and we are seeing chief selector selecting his son for A tour when his son doesn't even command a spot in the state team. Eventually the national team will end up paying the price. And to add to the conflict of interest, BCCI is run by bunch of businessmen who have no idea what cricket is. That is why they cancelled the away A tours to save money just like companies fire people or outsource to save dollars. That is why you have likes of Srinivasan & Rajiv Shukla making statements regarding how India's 5-0 win in odis at home was a tit-for-tat for losing the away series :facepalm: When people who run cricket can't even understand the difference between different formats and between home & away tours, you are going to be in trouble which we are in. When you have incompetents like Sharad Pawar a functionary of BCCI and head of ICC you are bound to be in trouble. The guy couldn't even handle his ministry/portfolio (agriculture) leading to mass farmer suicides in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra etc. and prices of onion hitting Rs. 100/kg mark :omg: How do you expect such incompetents to do well for Indian cricket? And then there's the matter of academies like NCA and MRF pace academy who haven't done anything other than maybe act as a channel to pay easy money to BCCI bigwigs' cronies. I am still waiting for these academies turning up even one fast bowler or help our youngsters in any way. If they can't turn around someone like Ishant and if someone like Zaheer had to go play in county cricket to find himself what's the point of these academies? Players and the team performances are just a function of the system and processes a country has in place. That is why Aussies have always been a force to be reckoned with and that's why, I am sorry to say, we have generally under-achieved at intl level and will never be world beaters consistently.

We need to STOP playing cricket!.. It's ridiculous that we are not taking the time to really cultivate talent or more importantly improve on our mistakes and deficiencies.. it is one match after another.. and IPL just makes things worse. We pay them millions of dollars with no accountability and real performance backing.. we put them on pedestals and exalt them to un-deserved levels.. 1.2 billion people who consider Cricket as their religion.. Hundreds of millions of dollars in the coffers of BCCI.. and yet they seem to be clueless as to what needs to be done. for a start, they need to start converting half the stadiums in India to clayey bouncy pitches. I think there is severe ineptitude and lack of mettle in the coaching department. Our bowlers have this "thakela" attitude where they are dragging their a sses around. No stamina, no killer instinct or fighting spirit. Above all.. ZERO cricketing sense when it comes to bowling. We are a bunch of leg-side bowling, short ball medium pacers who simply throw the ball just to finish up the over. When you look at how people like Michael Clarke train.. our "atheletes" look like bunch of pandus. To me... there is no chance of us improving in the cricketing sense of the game unless we have a good bowling department.. and I don't think that is gonna happen any time soon. In the meantime, at least I wish we didn't play so many matches and over extend our batsmen.. we are playing too much cricket with too little interest and there is no value in any of them. It's like as if we have numbed our brains to the consequence of any tournament or match.

there is no body else who can perform the role of captaincy other than dhoni at the moment. Sehwag is a shoot-from-the-hips cowboy who just cannot be bothered with responsibility Gambhir is too timid and unsure of himself at times. Raina is happy-to-go lucky character who is just a cog in the wheel. Virat is too young for that burden.. worse,it'll only end up ruining his batting. there is simply NO ONE ELSE. I think Dhoni is a good captain.. He just needs to be coached in a few departments.. like field placement and putting pressure on batting when you are defending a total.
