punjabi_khota Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Best way is to go the spot you took the picture, and take it again, this time with better camera. Good luck bro.

akshayxyz Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Best way is to go the spot you took the picture, and take it again, this time with better camera. Good luck bro. This. better resolution or clarity. One can do sharpening, smoothing, adjusting colors/saturation etc.. but improving resolution from worse to better, is not trivial.. there have been few researches, but nothing much in popular image editing softwares.... I remember seeing some research paper, and some demo by Adobe ( or was it Sony).. who demonstrated something similar - let me see if I can find the link.

DomainK Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Better resolution is something very difficult. But if I understand right, you want someone to manipulate the images to make them look sharper. You need a professional. Contact any decent photo studio and they should be able to do it.

akshayxyz Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Check this out.. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxjiQoTp864]Adobe MAX 2011 - Photoshop Image Deblurring sneak - YouTube[/ame] Also, better ask on photoshop/photography forums, you can still do lot of stuff to enhance the image..w/o having to change 'resolution'.
Prakat Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 @sunny given that the photos were taken on a cell phone camera that too an old one, chances are that there is a lot of noise in the image (areas or bands of multi-coloured dots) with almost no usable picture information for enhancement. Khota's advice is actually the only way to go about it, if going back to the location is viable.

Magneto Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 PK's advice is not a joke actually. No other way to improve 'resolution' in still or video images.
