It's about time you spilled the beans and let the world know about the "secretely talented test batsmen of India waiting in the line". Please spit out some new names at least
No one knows until players are given a chance, Rahane, Mukund, Rohit Sharma, Tiwary all should have been tried by now. Chand while young has shown potential, no good waiting for them to perform in IPL first as seems to be the case. Remember Tendulkar was found at 16 so 19/20 is not too young. Mukund showed class in England on bad pitches against pure pace, but was not picked again.

Last time I checked, "facts" did not mean this crap " twilight of their career. Few are out of form. Few youngsters are barely into their second season at Test level. Uninspiring coach, rigid captain. "
Why don't you just highlight "twilight of their career"? That's what you are pretty much against at. You really don't care about the other "excuses" or "crap" or however you put it. There is no space for fanboyism, the one who needs to be kicked out, needs to be kicked out. The one who needs to leave, should leave and make the team a better one.

How many Tendulkars has this world produced? :fishing: We don't play enough tests to just try out 3 or 4 new players everytime. In a series like this, any team would choose to go with a known team first and then make substitution when safe. Had India won the first two matches, you would have seen a couple of changes.

now how does that work? as if you have sureshot chance of replacing him with a century over century scoring player? Team failed! If blaming one person floats your boat then be it

People have short memories actually. Even in Sri Lanka, with Dravid and Laxman, two of our greatest middle order bats, we lost the series in Sri Lanka and were out bowled by their spinners. Though we didn't expect English spinners to dominate, but the English spinners are still pretty good. It's not your run of the mill spinners like Batty or Roberty Croft. These are world class bowlers. Swann in particular and Panesar made the use of pitch quite well. Any batting line up could have collapsed against such brilliant bowling by Panesar. Wicket to wicket, not much outside for batsman to score runs. You literally had to expose your wickets and play a drive, such was the bowling from Panesar. One of the best bowling spells in last 5 years I would say from a spinner. Our batting is still pretty good. They didn't expect such bowling from spinners of England. They were practicign perhaps more pace bowling than spin in the nets. I think after this test they will work on it and come out strong and will play spin with more patience than what they did in the 2nd test. It's not our weakness. Our weakness is pace bowling and the English pace bowling isn't looking much of a threat so far in this series as it's subcontinent. Little adjustment is needed from 4 players - SEHWAG-TENDULKAR-KOHLI-GAMBHIR and team will be in good shape. They are 4 better players of spin in world cricket.

Who said that? If Sachin passes the fitness test' date=' age is just a number.[/quote'] What difference did he make despite passing the fitness test? He averaged 57+ during the England tour and now he averages 54 and soon enough he might drop below 50, who knows. He is screwing himself up. Should have retired after the World Cup. Home ground, played a crucial part in the world cup, what more could you ask more for a fairy tale ending? Just for the sake of that "1" ton? Bradman averaged 99.94 and after getting bowled out for the 2nd ball, did he ever get back to score those runs and get his average to a 100? No. It did not make any difference, he would have been honored and respected as one of the greatest. Same goes to Sachin. No one is ever gonna get close to that colossal international record and that "1" ton wouldn't have made any difference either. He would still be best never mind that 1 or 2 100s.
