India super-eight dates I am going to srilanka for the t20 worldcup and booked the following tickets super-eights 28th september = D1 v C2 , B1 v A2 (2 matches) 30 september = B1 v C2, D1 v A2 (2 matches) 2 september = B1 v D1, A2 v C2 (2 matches) semifinals 4/5 october finals 7 october my question is regarding the super-eights (group as follows) Group A - England (A1), India (A2) and Afghanistan Group B - Australia (B1), West Indies (B2) and Ireland Group C - South Africa (C1), Sri Lanka (C2) and Zimbabwe Group D - New Zealand (D1), Pakistan (D2) and Bangladesh if India loose to Afghanistan AND India loose to England, then obviously India are out of tournament if India beat Afghanistan AND India also beat England so they top the group, MY QUESTION IS? THEN WILL INDIA BE A1 OR A2? because if they come A1 then their super-eight matches will be on 27/29/1 (which i have NO tickets) my understanding is, if India qualify for the super-eights , irrespective of their standing in group (1st or 2nd) India will ALWAYS be A2, and their super-eight will be on 28/30/2 could anybody confirm this pls?

If India qualify for the 2nd round, they will be A2 irrespective of how many games they win.

Irrespective of results if India and England move ahead, England will be A1 and India A2. Those are pre-tournament seedings and do not change going by the previous ICC tournaments.

ok thanks, so 28/30/2 can be safely considered as India super-eight matches (assuming india qualify for the super8)
