diga Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Ahh.. the Shane Warnes Mullet, so characteristic of the 80s & 90s
Robelinda Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Is there any video of Sachin's first test innings ever vs Australia? Looks like another job for Rob. Celebrating 24 million views of my videos.
Cricket Tragic Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Is there any video of Sachin's first test innings ever vs Australia? Looks like another job for Rob. Celebrating 24 million views of my videos. Really? :omg: Btw, you've uploaded some games from the '87 WC. Do you have the India-NZ one by any chance? :nervous:
Robelinda Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Yeah took a long time but my channel has been averaging about 3 million views per month, the last 6 months. Crazy! I'll check the 87 match.
maniac Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Wow...Looking at the scorecard,it looks like the Aussie selectors did an amazing job in picking the A team..... Most of them went on to be the core players of Aussie dominance a few years later.Martyn,Hayden,FlemingBevan ,Warne,to some extent Blewett.
Crookbond Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Wow...Looking at the scorecard,it looks like the Aussie selectors did an amazing job in picking the A team..... Most of them went on to be the core players of Aussie dominance a few years later.Martyn,Hayden,FlemingBevan ,Warne,to some extent Blewett. It was the same case throughout the 90s. Check the 1994 series which included an Zimbabwe, Australia A and B team, if I'm not mistaken.
Robelinda Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Yeah that Aus A team had some serious talent - Bevan Ponting Hayden Martyn Lehmann Langer Reiffel etc.
maniac Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 It was the same case throughout the 90s. Check the 1994 series which included an Zimbabwe' date=' Australia A and B team, if I'm not mistaken.[/quote'] Thats true....But the best part about this team was that iI don't think most of those players made their international debut by then....I am sure by 94,atleast some of them got taste of international cricket. But still :hatsoff: to the selectors
Robelinda Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Generally the PM's match is really up and coming players, unlike the A team which is the next rung of players. There have been some awesome PM's matches over the years.
maniac Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 It is fun to see scorecards in matches like this......Always thought Bevan would have made a better test cricketer and Blewett a better ODI cricketer but funny to see how differently their careers turned out.
Robelinda Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Pretty sure I have the PM's match from 1985 when India toured. Of course the most famous one is the one in 1984 when Boon scored a ton vs West Indies, and was put straight into the test team, and an aussie legend was born.
Sooda Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Nice. A Greg Rowell took a 6-fer. Blewett had that epic double ton in SA in 97, did not really build on that after. Jamie Siddons in that team too, former Banglas coach
akshayxyz Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 PM 11 vs India before the Sydney test? :WTF: :hatsoff:
