Benjamin William Hilfenhaus why did aus opt for him when they already had so many young prospects he bowls below 140 most of the time but he was the guy who damaged our test team singlehandedly

I am no more clueless than anyone else. Moreover, I form arguments rather than listing other players and forming useless rhetoric. If we want to talk about clueless, how about your completely ignorance of the distinction between limited overs cricket and Test cricket. Vernon Philander is a poor limited overs bowler and yet, he is a good Test bowler. Vinay may not be the best Test bowler, but he is improving in the limited overs format. You are naive if you think we have the finished article lying around in domestic cricket when nobody is tearing sides apart. You are also naive if you think players can improve on the physios table. He is getting overs under his belt; any veteran will tell you that that is the best way to improve. You equate bowling fast with being a matchwinner. A top quality quick spell will get wickets and win a game. However, so will a top quality spell from a medium pacer. 2/18 from Vinay may win the match. If he'd got 0/40, BRC would have no hope of winning this.

Yusuf and Tiwary are the top of the batsmen India have that are below the international team and Bisla was in top form. BTW, I was merely listing the batsmen he bowled too, not suggesting all are top quality.

I am talking about limited overs cricket but if anyone is still so stupid to believe that medium pace cannot work in Test cricket after Praveen in England (some idiots think that was below a top quality performance) and Philander's 50 Test wickets - they are beyond argument.
