Should the Nation's capital be moved to the south?

Friends, I do want to clarify that moving the capital to south India is only an interim measure. In order to attain lasting security, the final destination of the nationÃÔ capital would have to be even farther from Pakistan. Rather fortuitously, Gujratis and Telugu people are less than 2 months away from buying Jersey city from the US govt. altogether. Once the takeover of Jersey city (and other parts of NJ) is complete, we will relocate our capital to North America. :nice: After that, we will make Holland Tunnel the entry point for providing visiting visas for Americans, if they want to visit their friends/relatives in NJ.

Even the Andhra dynasties (Satavahanas and later Guptas to a certain extent) moved to Magadha and ruled from there The Cholas had political influence over southern and eastern India for almost a thousand years (3rd century BCE to 12th century CE) So rajneeti-wise Magadha has been the epicenter of Indian politics for longer than any other part of Bharatvarsha.

Pedantic observation - "back to" is not the right term. Agree Cal was the capital when East India company and later the British monarchy was ruling the land. But there was no "India" then either. Ever since "India" has been carved out we have had only one capital - New Delhi. If you want to consider the past also then, as I mentioned in a previous post, the land of Magadha specifically the city of Pataliputra was the center of Indian politics for the longest period in the last 5000 years
