Kamran Slo-Mo Bowling action. Can't see him chucking although bowls a huge No-Ball.. This could be after he corrected his action.. 0:22 onwards..
NO ball, would have given away freehit :headshake:

:omg::omg::omg::omg::omg::omg::omg::omg::omg::omg: Where is the chucking?!?!?!?! Pls someone convince me what is wrong with that action!?!?
This must have been after he corrected his action. I am pretty sure he has not been called a second time. Also, producing one clean ball and being a bowler whose action is always clean are two different things.

Why such bias for an Indian bowler? When it comes to other team's bowlers, 15 degree is first thing to come into the discussion. His bowling action was never as bad as some other bowlers playing still have. Look at this before he was banned. Cant see him chucking at all here and does not have a bad action. [ame=

He was reported for chucking' date=' both in the IPL and the Kanga League. I am sure the umpires wouldn't have done it without a reason.[/quote'] But can they be sure that he was flocking 15 degree rule with naked eyes.

Problem is how can they ban him without even checking if he was going over 15 degree limit or not based on just umpire's perception. I am sure no naked eye can judge if he was more than 15 degree limit or not.

Need to disagree with you there (and this has no bearing on Kamran's issue - lemme clarify, I never thought he chucked...I think he has a perfectly legitimate action). The reason the 15 degree rule came up was because, in the opinion of the esteemed biomechanic experts and scientists who did the tests on Murali and other bowlers, they found that the human eye can perceptively tell the difference only if the angle was a minimum of x degrees (x is slightly less than 15, not sure of the exact number though). So they 15 degree thingy is not exactly random. It seems the human eye can tell the difference only if it is greater than x degrees where x slightly less than 15 degree

But they did not warn Karman. BTW' date=' do you see any change in action of Samuels before and after his ban. I dont see any.[/quote'] they didnt banned Samules may be because of Saharajeee...all sorts of politic going on..but it has nothing to do as a bias against a Indian as oyu suggested in some other post.. my question is if he is chucking why should anybody support him...and he is not the only one reported or banned Amit singh also in chucking row.. my guess is Kamran not able to bowl as fast as with remodeled action and PW not inetrested him in playing

I haven't read about any such theory yet because the limit before was 5 degree and 7.5 degree for pacers and spinners which was increased later on to 15 degrees because they had to accommodate such bowlers who were going beyond that. Otherwise, why they needed to increase that limit.

Firstly I dont think he was chucking as blatantly as Samuels so there was no need for him to banned.

Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Kamran Khan will undergo two weeks of rehabilitation for a suspect bowling action, the IPL's technical committee decided on Sunday. Kamran's action came under the scanner after he was reported by umpires Rudi Koertzen and Gary Baxter during Rajasthan's game against Chennai Super Kings in Centurion on April 30. The issue was referred to the IPL's technical committee after the on-field officials and TV umpire Amish Saheba reviewed video footage of Kamran's action. The technical committee meeting was attended by former India captains Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri and IPL commissioner Lalit Modi who were joined via a conference call by Anurag Thakur and MAK Pataudi from India
i guess he is the first case..so may be even IPL admins dont know what to do

RR have definitely been unlucky as their team has always over performed and therefore there has been a higher unfair scrutiny over their players. If those players were playing for MI, nothing would have happened. But it is really Kamran Khan own fault, as I mentioned he choose money over loyalty.

Otherwise' date=' why they needed to increase that limit.[/quote']I am not sure if there was any such limit of 5 degree or 7.5 degree before. Here's the chronology Upto late 90's - no degree nothing. If umpire thinks it is a chuck then he calls it. Around late 90s-early 2000s - testing done by ICC on various bowlers. Almost all bowlers found to be "chucking". Hence they devised a rule with 5 degree for spinners and 7.5 degree for pacers (not sure about the numbers exactly). These numbers came out of the hat - totally arbitrary Early - id 2000s - Murali's doosra questioned. He was tested again...genetic defect found. Meanwhile researchers determine human eye can perceive difference if arm is bent for minimum x degrees. ICC adds a buffer and makes rule for 15 degrees More detail if you need - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Throwing_(cricket) A quote from the article
