never forget my first sanfrancisco trip. India beat ENgland in 1999 world cup that day. i was staying in this motel this gujju guy who owned that motel took me out to his friends place to watch the match near SFO. I was thrilled. Then he told me SFO is a nice place at night and took me to downtown. He took me straight to strip bar lol I was sitting there whole time with lot of guilt . But it was awesome at night though.

Friday would be better for the Wharf. For the Golden Gate Bridge, more than the day you want to check the weather to avoid fog - yeah it looks beautiful in the fog as well, but that's more for the locals. As a tourist you don't want to waste half a day when you can barely see the bridge. The ideal time to go is between 11AM to 3PM - a bit on the earlier side because the fog can start rolling in as early as 2PM if it's too warm. Parking is not a problem for the Bridge - for the Wharf, just take some public parking, it's peanuts compared to New York.

Last year I took my parents there and all they saw was fog :((. It was late in the evening.
