Don't mind but isn't this the most convinient way to prove yourself as an intellectual, not to support any party. Or you are waiting for a Mr. perfect to be nominated as PM candidate beleive me you will never get that.

Or you are waiting for a Mr. perfect to be nominated as PM candidate beleive me you will never get that.[/quote'] I supported BJP till Vajpayee was at the helm. MMS actually did quite well before his corrupt party members pulled his government down and he didnt have enough political power to go after them. Pappu has done nothing to indicate that he is capable of running the nation. If he wants to run the nation he should have taken a ministers post and proven it. Lastly, I don't identify with the chaddi politics that the likes of Modi and Advani espouse. So till a better PM nominee comes along I will vote for the local candidates on the basis of their stand on local issues. I don't know, what does greatbong think? He's better than your feku, hows the largest ever gas find coming along? :giggle:

In the words of Arnab Goswami, "Never, ever, ever, ever say that" :winky: Neither Pappu nor Feku. And I don't consider Mr. U-turn to be in the PM's race.

Rs 400 cr ad blitz for polls: BJP to finalise ad agency for elections campaigns http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics-and-nation/bjp-to-finalise-ad-agency-for-upcoming-poll-campaigns-mccann-strong-contender/articleshow/29476790.cms

MUMBAI: Advertising decibels are on the rise in a year when more than Rs 2,000 crore of ad money will be spent by various political parties on poll-related communication. While the Congress kicked off its campaign last Friday on a somewhat controversial note thanks to the ad's tagline, "main nahin, hum (not I, we)", the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is close to finalizing its ad agency to commence its campaign, which will be centered around its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. TOI has learnt that the principal opposition party is zeroing in on McCann Worldgroup, led by lyricist & adman Prasoon Joshi, to handle its creative duties. A WPP agency, Contract Advertising, is also in the fray to grab the hotly contested Rs 400-crore account for the 2014 general elections, said sources who did not want to be named as a formal decision is yet to be taken. While McCann and Contract are in the reckoning for the creative duties for BJP, sources said the media buying mandate is likely to go to Lodestar with other agencies, including WPP's Group M and Sam Balsara's Madison, not having been ruled out completely. The Congress party, on the other hand, has given its Rs 500-crore account to Dentsu and Taproot while its public relations is being handled by Genesis Burson-Marsteller. JWT was given to handle the party's outdoor activation activities. When contacted by TOI, Joshi, executive chairman of McCann Worldgroup India, said as of now his agency has not been picked for any election-related work for any political party. Sources said McCann had also pitched for the Congress account along with a slew of other agencies. A spokesperson from the BJP said they were yet to finalize their agency. Shashi Sinha, CEO of IPG Mediabrands, which runs Lodestar UM, said they were not working with the BJP for the general elections. The 2014 general elections, scheduled to be held around mid-2014, will also see the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal give a fight to Modi and Gandhi. AAP has largely stuck to communicating on social media and use outdoor activations programmes, steering clear of any mass media campaigns. Last week, BJP accused the Congress of copying a Modi tagline (Main nahin, hum) from 2011 for its campaign. Congress started the first leg of its campaign with print ads showcasing the party's chief campaign manager Gandhi at the forefront. AICC media head Ajay Maken tweeted on Saturday a picture saying that slogan figured at a mushaira (poetry) event featuring Congress workers in Indore in 2010, much before BJP's "chintan shivir (introspection session)" in Gujarat in 2011. Besides, the Rs 500-crore ad blitzkrieg which the Congress has planned, the ruling United Progressive Alliance is parallely running the 'Bharat Nirman' campaign. The Rs 100-crore campaign, being handled by ad agency Percept/H, is run from the budget of the information & broadcasting ministry,.

He does lack grace. On such an event, to make the speech so political, I would never have though of Vajpayee doing that. Also think, taking digs at congress is no longer the answer. Congress are out of this election. He should be more prime prime ministerial

Yeah but that's little too much to expect from politician. Kejriwal's history is just as glorious esp the early days of adhoc allegations. People do that to pander to masses. But here the occasion warranted a different avatar

I challenge you to prove this allegation. Go through the entire speech and tell me where Modi claims Taxila as being in Bihar. All he said was that we have had Nalanda and Taxila as part of gyan yug. Also, he was referring to the Chandragupta of Gupta dynasty, he did not mention Maurya at all. His speech was deliberately distorted by secularists and the distortions were lapped up by people like you. Here is the debunking of these distortions http://www.niticentral.com/2013/11/06/ill-read-critics-of-modi-using-lies-to-belittle-him-154867.html Here is the whole speech [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8ont7QjwS0]Shri Narendra Modi addresses BJP Hunkar Rally at Patna, Bihar - Speech - YouTube[/ame]

Right. he was referring to the Chandragupta of Gupta dynasty. Thnx for this. I wasn't aware, my bad. “If we remember the Gyan Yug, we are reminded of Taxa-shila(:cantstop:) and Nalanda, Yeh mera bihar hai bhaiyon" - In context of Bihar, whats the need to mention Taxa-shila...sorry, taxila?
