The interview could have been recorded in 1990 and put online later... Rajiv Shukla looks way too young for this video to be as recent as 99-00...

The Narendra Modi thread I think being a mod on internet is thankless task. For opinionated people who are partisan, it is even more difficult. There shouldn't be a mod in first place. Let's look at it from a distance. None of what happens here matters. People spend hours and hours of their precious time venting out their opinions. But really making zero difference on the ground. Not to mention the medium doesn't allow much chance for constructive debate because of anonymity. You don't have to believe there is a person at the other end. It is simply words against words. And you have people spending their precious time monitoring the meaningless muck that gets thrown around. On this medium, even a hitchens can be trolled and nullified. Makes more miserable people in the world. That's all.

There are plenty of forums on the internet without any sort of moderation, plenty of facebook groups for e.g. It's a choice to post on a particular site, not a compulsion

Most probably late 97 or 98. Internet cafes had started to spring up by then, costing 90 bucks an hour for 33.2 kbps Plus after 99, Modi's profile started going up and this interview seems to predate that

I guess it is early 2000. They are discussing about the replacement for Kushabhau thakre for BJP's president post.

Yup - the interview is post 2000 because at around 2.30 mins Rajeev Shukla says that the party has been in power for around 3 years. This is from early 2000 because Kushabhau Thakrey's term as BJP Prez ended in Aug 2000 and this interview seems to have taken place a few months before that.

Yup - the interview is post 2000 because at around 2.30 mins Rajeev Shukla says that the party has been in power for around 3 years. This is from early 2000 because Kushabhau Thakrey's term as BJP Prez ended in Aug 2000 and this interview seems to have taken place a few months before that.

:haha: Since when Chaddi became sensitve for criticism? I have been on this site from day 1 since 2006. I have seen it used all these years. Btw, I was in RSS for many years, my dad is still active. People here know me that I am quite moderate in many ways. I have never used any derogatory terms against any individual or group or religion ever. I might have called names to Congress and used psec term few times, or got carried away for a day but never meant to demean anyone. I dont remember my Dad ever said anything against any particular religion or cast and taught his kids anything like that. My bro does business with many muslim traders as well. I have shared meals with dalit or pizhada or muslim or sikh. So people calling names is part of life. What I learnt in RSS is to live life like LIONs not pay attention to every other criticism. Having said that few of us do have extreme views but not to the level where they are compared with terrorist. With time, I am sure it will change too. my 2 cents. cheers .....
