absolutely but that would be like a reverie. we might know and allege from where bjp or cong get these surplus funds but we cant prove it' date='thats the sad part.they'll get away[/quote'] But this is not a wishlist , not a nice to have feature in a democracy but an absolute must. You simply cannot have a participative democracy without transparent funding and properly enforced spending limits . There has been money poured into the BJP election this time around, same must be the case with the Congress. It is not only a matter of google adsense ads or Twitter bots, major media houses have witnessed reshuffles which helped them influence public opinion. Veerapandian, a Sun TV veteran of 17 years was fired for his strong Anti Modi stand, Varadarajan of The Hindu was fired from his job, a high level reshuffle was done at IBN Live.

There'll be no place in India for Modi critics, says BJP leader Giriraj Singh

"Those who want to stop Narendra Modi (from becoming prime minister) are looking towards Pakistan. In the coming days, they will have no place in India. They will only have place in Pakistan," Giriraj Singh said while addressing a gathering in Godda district of Jharkhand. (Watch video) Mr Singh made the remarks in the presence of senior party leader and former president Nitin Gadkari. He is the party's candidate from Nawada in Bihar. http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/n-ram-effects-toplevel-changes-at-the-hindu-editor-siddharth-varadarajan-quits/1185502/ It's common knowledge in the media industry that Vardarajan was shuttled out because of his policy of covering Modi.

Varadrajan may or may not have been fired because of Modi but since been fired he has been coming on many news channel debates and has been openly against Modi in these - one day a few goons came to his house, beat his housekeeper and told "tell Sahib to watch what he says on TV". His wife has also been threatened. Former editor of Open Magazine Manu Joseph was forced out because he was anti-Modi. So was Hartosh Singh Bal (I think he was political affairs editor at the same magazine) - both were fired because there were instructions from the top that they had to be more pro Modi. Senior editor of IndiaTV recently resigned in protest against Modi's fixed interview. Many, many journalists and senior executives at Network 18 group have either left the group or have been fired in the last few months because of considerable pressure from the top to run more and more pro Modi stories. All this is when Modi isn't even in power - imagine what will happen if this man becomes the Prime Minister of India.

That may be so.. but was Siddarth Varadarajan's Hindu exit related to Modi? I dont think see how ICF reacted on his resignation http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=304853&highlight=varadarajan+hindu http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=298082&highlight=varadarajan+hindu

As I said in the post - his exit may or may not be linked to Modi but after that his housekeeper was beaten up and he was warned to watch his words on TV. His wife was also threatened. And then there are the other editors/journalists I mentioned in my post.

Again assumptions to suite one side story. Networks may have pushed them out becuse onl.y agenda of these reporters you mentioned may be to attack Modi rather than giving both sides of story.Which network can survive non stop negetive attacks against only one person and ignore all other things, especially fake secularism and their ilk?

Whatever you have quoted is after SV resigned.. Pray tell the Junta whether it was resignation / forced exit due to Modi?
