Crookbond Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Well, it's everybody's to see. It's still there if you are strong enough to check back on your posts history. Clearly, it's simple to understand your "game" as your are not gonna say anything against Congress and thus you continue to babble some nonsense. Once again, strong words against Congress for the biggest anti-Muslim riots in India. Help yourself really. Are you back to making straw men arguments? Well, you should understand that if you claim X; you've got to prove it - particularly when there is a contest to it.
someone Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Yeah, that's why you have been able to provide a single quote backing up what you claimed I said. This thread has many Modi supporters who would be happy to put the quote in my face, if I had said such a thing, including you. However, at this point you, me, and everyone else knows I never said words to that effect and it was your poor understanding of English coupled with jingoism to start shooting from the hip, before having a clue of the rubbish you were typing. I even tried to praise you and yet you didn't answer back to my request. I can get it that there is nothing praise worthy about yourself as you don't deserve any praises. Your hesitance is everybody's to see, strong words against Congress for the biggest anti-Muslim riots and your continued ignoring of it and instead trying to change the topic. And this is not the only exclusive case, there are tons of cases which which needs your "strong" words. You exemplify what can be called as pseudo secularism, sickularism , convenient secularism, part time secularism. I can neither pity or sympathize with you. As this is one great problem India is facing. It needs strong solutions or an end to it so you can get well and so does India deserve to be better. You are exposed.
Sachin=GOD Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Seats won by BJP in 1999 Statewise: Andhra Pradesh 7 Assam 2 Bihar 23 Goa 2 Gujarat 20 Haryana 5 Himachal Pradesh 3 Jammu & Kashmir 2 Karnataka 7 Madhya Pradesh 29 Maharashtra 13 Orissa 9 Punjab 1 Rajasthan 16 Tamil Nadu 4 Uttar Pradesh 29 West Bengal 2 Andaman & Nicobar Islands 1 Delhi 7 Now here's a question to Modi fans - how is the BJP going to get such numbers like 7 in AP, 23 in Bihar, 9 in orissa, 29 in UP and 20 in Gujarat. Keep in mind that in 1999 BJP contested only 339 seats and left over 200 for pre poll allies so in states like AP, Bihar, Orissa etc BJP also won more seats because it was in pre poll alliance. Now with no big parties having pre poll alliance, no signs of getting anywhere near the glory days back in states like UP, how is it that Modi will take the BJP to a position from where it can attract allies after the results are out. p.s. give me some numbers - how many seats you expect the party to win in various states. sources for these figures : http://eci.nic.in/eci_main/SR_KeyHighLights/LS_1999/Vol_I_LS_99.pdf (page 93) and http://books.google.co.in/books?id=G_QtMGIczhMC&pg=PA63&lpg=PA63&dq=pre+poll+partners+of+NDA+in+1999&source=bl&ots=5GSHZHRrro&sig=wHiSdistDwFv3sB7XbqqGS-iTd0&hl=en&sa=X&ei=af7cUZSyN87QrQetkYC4DA&ved=0CDMQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=pre%20poll%20partners%20of%20NDA%20in%201999&f=false (pages 63-64).

Sachin=GOD Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 ^ BJP is banking on anti-incumbency of UPA... UP battle will be interesting... in UP I think BSP will be the big gainer (because its not in power in either the state or in Centre) and SP will win around the same number as last time - that leaves around 25 seats for BJP, Cong, Ajit Singh and Independents - in such a scenario BJP can't expect to win even 20 seats there. In AP whatever anti incumbency is there, it will go to Jagan or TRS. BJP is now a non factor there. In Bihar, do you really expect BJP to go from 12 to more than 20 after breaking the alliance? In Orissa BJP did not win a single seats in 2009 - yup, non factor there as well, or maybe they may improve, take advantage of anti incumbency and win 2-3 there. So basically in some of the biggest states BJP won't even be a major factor unless it goes with pre poll allies (which it can't because of Modi). Long story short - BJP needs pre poll alliance much, much more than Cong does and Modi is the major problem coming in way of pre poll alliances.

Not coming in power is not more a priority for BJP now... It's only focussing on Modi's upliftment in the National scene.. Problem is, BJP is ready to wait but Public is exasperated... If public finds that NDA/BJP is not capable to make a Govt. in these worst case scenarios of UPA, BJP will have a loooong way to go then... By that time Congress will be able to consolidate and even hurt BJP more with relentless dirty tricks..Nobody in Congress wastes time in writing musings etc.

I think if we go to the polls again, BJP will have a good chance if they get decent numbers first time around.

They've had a taste of power for 6 years and now they've been out of power for 10 years - everyone in the BJP/RSS, irrespective of their support for various leaders (be it for Modi or Advani) is desperate for power. In the end if they come anywhere close to a situation where they can form the Govt, they will accept whichever name the allies want as PM.

Don't display your intellectual bankruptcy so obviously, by bringing in unrelated discussions. Why aren't you condemning Hitler and the Nazis in this thread?

Sachin=GOD Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 What is the success/failure number for Not so dear leader as per non supporters ? last time BJP was successful (i.e. it formed the Govt) it got 182 so I'll stick to somewhere around this - so lets say 170+ will be a success considering how Modi has been touted as the "saviour" of the BJP and has even been compared to Legends like Sardar Patel by his fanatics. BTW even then I wouldn't bet on him being accepted as the PM candidate of the NDA by potential allies.
