He set him up with a series of outswingers followed by the inducker. It is really great watching this guy. I dont want to hype him, but of the younger lot I have seen, he is the best for Test matches without a doubt.

We can say that he is in developmental stage being too young and inexperienced! And the best players only get to play for India, not mediocre players! If you think Mandeep is one of the best we have, he should have had at least one success in 4 outings as Unmukt did, no? I'm not dismissing Mandeep. It is in his own hands to kick on from here or get into oblivion! Here is the 1st day's report: NZ A on top in rain affected day Day one of the first Four-day match between New Zealand A and India A has been called off due to inclement weather after just 36.4 overs. Bad light initially brought the match to a halt, before rain settled in and forced the rest of the day’s play to be abandoned at 3:35pm. India is 136 for four heading into day two, but will be disappointed with their position after a solid start to the innings. Having lost the toss and been sent into bat, they didn’t allow the New Zealand bowling attack to make any early inroads. Unkmukt Chand got things underway in style with a classy off-drive for four off the first delivery. Chand continued to look solid and formed a valuable partnership with captain Abhinav Mukund. The pair put on 82 for the opening wicket, before Nethula broke through for New Zealand when he had Mukund trapped leg-before-wicket on 42. Anustup Majumdar was next in, but went just five runs later when he was bowled by Sam Wells for four. India were forced to rebuild and looked to be regaining control at 118 for two, before Chand fell for 54. Having just brought up his half century the 19 year-old departed at the start of the 30th over when he was caught by Neil Broom off the bowling of Andy McKay. With dark clouds looming New Zealand made one more breakthrough by capturing the wicket of Mandeep Singh for 20. That strike by Brent Arnel meant India will resume tomorrow at 136 for four, with Ambati Rayudu on nine and Ashok Menaria still on nought. The wickets were shared amongst the New Zealand attack, but McKay was used the most and ended with figures of one for 38 from 12 overs. Days two, three and four are now scheduled to begin at 10:00am in an effort to make up for today’s lost overs. It's naive to state that if someone is good, he has to click in one match out of 4. Some people take 2 matches to make an adjustment, some take an entire series. Even if he fails in the whole series, he is not sinking into oblivion so soon. 3) This IS the REAL India-A. Anyone who thinks this is not, is deluding himself/herself. No players were kept back for Irani Trophy, that was never the plan. Among the Rest of India team, only Rahane and Saha might come back to this India-A team. Otherwise Vijay, Badri, Karthik or Binny is definitely at a lower rung. P.S. Rahane was not selected for this as he was in the Test squad while this camp was going on. (sorry i havent been following much news lately ) also what do u think about shami ? always impressed me :cantstop:

Regarding Bisht, it was the same as it happened in Saha's case. Wasn't fit when the squad was getting announced.

Stop slamming him pointlessly. c) Batting is still an overall :fail: Only Rayudu has been consistent, the rest have scored 3 half centuries in 24 opportunities :giggle: yep...but i didnt even expected one half century from chand.. he has done ok imo others have failed but that was expected mandeep maybe he will score some runs in remaining matches even if he does not its no big deal im sure he has learnt a lot form this tour i owuld have loved to see rahane in this team he failed in windies and never gets match atleast he had chance to get some kanfidece anmd get in form before england series and if there wasnt any t20 world cup would rohit have been picked for this tour ?

If you don't want to take Kumar, who exactly would you take? Mithun?:woot: Aravind?:woot: Deepak Chahar :woot: And Awana was injured. c) Shami is great in helpful conditions. Yet to see him on pattas. Actually, he gets thrashed around in pattas mostly.

Rohit, Rahane, Pujara they all are not established yet in the national team and they all could have played for India A side. It would have been better if Rahane and Pujara were here to get more overseas experience under their belt before touring overseas to play tests.
