Sehwag Gambhir Rahane Kohli Tiwary Dhoni Raina Irfan Ashwin Dinda/Umesh (rest Zaheer) Rahul Sharma Let's give Rahane and Tiwary the final 2 games, and give Dinda and Umesh one game each to sowcase their skills. I doubt they will do better than 1/76 though but at least people will stop saying "ooh they didn't bowl well coz they didn't get the new ball". Let's give them the new ball and let's see what magic they perform. If they can't even bowl decently even with the new ball then they will go down below Vinay Kumar in bowling depth chart as even Vinay Kumar bowls decently with the new ball. Also, It's time we went with 7 batsmen + Pathan coz it doesn't matter whether we play 4 bowlers, 5 bowlers or 6 bowlers, we will need to score in the proximity of 300 to win the match so we may as well go in with 7 batsmen and I doubt the part-time bowlers in Viru/Raina will do worse than 1/76.
[1] I don't think Rahane would be given a chance. The top 3 - Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli is fixed. Rahane can't play anywhere else. [2] I don't think Zaheer should be rested unless we win the series. [3] Dinda/Umesh Yadav are both (currently) in the same league. If there's a wicket with some juice in it, I would prefer Yadav else will persist with Dinda. [4] The only change I will make in the next game is bring in Tirway for Rohit Sharma but realistically speaking that my not happen on the field.

rahane was middle order batsmen for mumbai so i can see him playing anywhere from 1-4, i wish sehwag would bat in middle order or lower middle order near raina or dhoni and let rahane open. sehwg too was middle order batsmen before forced to open.

I think he's 1-down for Mumbai mostly in the Ranji trophy. In any case, the problem is with the good top-order we have the No.4 position in the Indian cricket team will be drastically different than the one in the Mumbai team.

I'd rest Sehwag and sadly replace Rohit Sharma. Not a fan of Tiwary's batting but he deserves a shot. Sehwag can be rested for the last game also if we win this but that would give Rahane only 1 match. Ojha comes back in if fit. The team that I would pick (but won't be picked) Rahane Gambhir Kohli Tiwary Dhoni Raina Pathan Ashwin Zaheer Dinda Ojha
