Second one is more of City-Of-Godesque effort.[/quote'] The narative by Piyush Mishra's was absolutely amazing.His voice is so rich with the slight tremor and the perfect dialect. Fantastic.To me, GOW is about people and not the violence.The 2 part film helps in developing the personalities and thats where it scores.

Zameen ka aadmi hai wo bhai. Genius hai. Gaane bhi mast likhta hai. Ek baar josh mein Sahir saab ko bhi sunda diya recently lol. Yeah he is one of the good talents we are blessed with today. There is this little scene where Sardar Khan(Manoj Bajpai), Asghar (Jameel Khan) and Piyush Mishra rob a Petrol Pump. That scene is so beautifully done. Right from the diction to how it flows. At the end when they try to escape, Bajpai loses his chappal and Piyush Mishra marches ahead of him shouting Hum first Hum first... that is hilarious and so quick you will miss it if you blink. Fantastic.To me, GOW is about people and not the violence.The 2 part film helps in developing the personalities and thats where it scores. GOW II is also good from storytelling but it diverges from the reality a bit. Still a good movie overall. Good acting, even songs grew on me after a while

Very true for us.. x1m3Zm34t0E Also, when Tigmanshu Tells his son after he says which film he saw last night.. Beta..tumse na ho payega... Classic. But for the songs every 1.5 min, the movies are a gem. RGV lost out because of his cameraman. Kashyap is irritating with the songs. Even DevD..the story narration gets jarred because of some useless songs. Some songs were good..esp the I am Hunter and also in the end ..Jiya ho bihaar ke lala.. Agree, inspired by City of God and Sergio Leone movies, intro of characters getting highlighted etc. Missed Manoj Bajpai sorely in the sequel. I didn't like the the second as much as the first, but Tigmanshu has some great lines in the second one - Jaise loha lohe ko kaattha hain..****..you know the rest.. Altogether, fine movies both of them.

That is a very well thought of scene, isn't it? Like the way Pankaj Mishra just lays back and nonchalantly greens, and butters up Dhulia, with a - Kaahe ki babu saaheb asli Babubali aap hi hain. And also the part where the bearded man goes - Aur wo Sunil Dutt Nargis ka laundwa! Incidentally, this reminded me of the first time I had uttered the word chewtiya publicly. It was at a mohalla cricket match and in a false bravado after dismissing a batsman I had given him maa-behan and chewtiya. One of my elder brothers friend grinned from ear to ear and asked me - Abbe tujhe pata hai what does it mean ke aise hi bol reha hai. The reason I mention that is because it was well used by many youngsters, if not well understood. But it was hardly mainstream. Today it is. You see it in movies, online world and what have you.
