Then by that logic Murali Vijay is a great batsman because performing at international level is not required for a player to be called great.
Again you are comparing cricket with football.

domestic competiton in football is actually better take example of champions league than international football.
So domestic competition in football is better then why can't a team win a single WC/EURO cup in 44 years ? It means in domestic competition a lot of weakness can be hidden by simply purchasing all the good players. Such things don't happen at international level.

I don't like rooney i think he is overated because he plays in a team full of good foreign players, the same can be said for almost every english player.

I mean most of the English journalist still consider Rooney as World class despite his consecutive failures in EURO 2008, EURO 2012, WC 2006, WC 2010.

So in football performing at international level is not required ?
There are a lot of players in football who are considered as greats only for their performance in clubs even when they are not so great with their national teams ex Messi, Scholes, Torres, Carragher, Reina are the few I can think of right now.

Comparing Rooney and Jadeja is wrong. Club teams in football are at par or even better than the national teams in many cases. The quality of Premier League or La Liga is same as that of Euros and World Cups which is not the case of IPL teams. IPL teams are way behind the national teams. So the comparison is not appropriate here.
This +1 Such comparison not possible when in sports like baseball or football having most compitive games happens in league stages like MLB or EPL, where as in Cricket its oposite case, international cricket is far more better in compitiveness than leages like IPL.
Yes Premier league is certainly high quality domestic league as indicated by number of WC and Euro cup won by England.
Both Jadeja and Rooney are mediocre at international level. So comparison is absolute correct.
You seems you too much facinated by those sarcastic ignorant English comments for their Euro QF loss against Italy. We cant defend here with Rooneey=Jadeja.

If we allow all 11 overseas players in IPL teams, it will definitely increase the quality of IPL. But will it increase the quality of Indian Cricket Team? I don't think so. Same way 11 top class players from all over the world playing togather in EPL teams make those teams good not the England team. So quality EPL not necessarily means quality England team.

English football is overrated crap. Last time they won the World Cup was 1966. After 46 years they still talk about it all the time.
Simple as that. The ONLY reason EPL gets the hype is due to a "very convenient" time slot since they are the GMT. Btw - let me add the win wasn't clean too and had it's own share of controversy.

Both Ravindra Jadeja and Wayne Rooney play very well for their club teams. Yet we consistently mock Jadeja and English consider Ronney as World Class. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/players/wayne-rooney/9358209/Euro-2012-former-England-manager-Fabio-Capello-claims-Wayne-Rooney-only-understands-Scottish.html We should question Jadeja's commitment but not his class. If Jadeja becomes disciplined he will be as great as Sobers, Miller. There is no difference between Club sports and international sports. From now on while criticizing Jadeja, we should never question his place in team. We should rather question his commitment .Once Jadeja gets his commitment right he will blow away the team.
snnnyc.jpg and that day i was laughing my ass out bcs they compared shakib with sober in bangla forum

More likely Jaddu like Rooney will get blown by grandmothers.

Well an apt comparison would be Rooney vs Chris Gayle.....one of the most popular club players,game-changing talent, without the same level of commitment at the international level
