^ A lot of discussion all over the web on it. u torrent certainly has some "bloatware".

bloatware is software that is 1. resource-heavy 2. uses a lot of file space needlessly for installation, usage, etc. 3. Has only ONE feature that can be found in smaller, less resource-heavy programs. 4. is NOT very customizable uTorrent 3.0 and it's earlier versions NEVER used a lot of memory, take up less then 1 MB of space on your hard drive, and have all kinds of features that can be used depending on what the user intends to do with the client (Downloading only, Uploading only, or both). The fact that it can be customized in so many ways is a good thing - You never know when you might need one of those features, and you don't need to use them all to get the best out of uTorrent in the first place. If you want an prime example of Bloatware, here are a few: Adobe Acrobat MS Office 14 Nero Multimedia Suite

It has those new features of playing a movie inside the client while its streaming and some other browser add-ons. Makes it far heavier than what a torrent client should be. Transmission is the perfect one - very simple, bare boned and gets the job done with minimal resources
