On a serious note, we really missing this. Our bowling has becoming predictable and relying on mistakes of batsmen. He even had the world's greatest batsmen, Lara, in trouble with the 2nd ball. Looked mighty close. Terrific bowling, excellent line and length, enough movement, repeatable action, pace was getting closer to 140k, he really could have rivalled Steyn if he stayed focussed. But the talent is still there.

Agree because he is extremely talented. You can't bowl the type of deliveries he does by fluke. Guy is amazing but just can't seem to keep doing it, partly because of lack of backing, also lack of consistency on his part. I feel he looks for that magical ball a bit too much, should just keep it simple.

anyway after his recent non field antics.. i dont expect him to make a proper come back i gve up :P btw u should watch shami ahmed bowl i think he sreesanth clone (bowling wise.. similar strengths )

If you look at our current Test bowlers (excluding Zak), I don't see why one should blame Shree. Umesh and Ishant...bowls filthy short deliveries and that too to a demon hooker like Punter. PK bowls wide filth with his 128ks....groom Shreeshanth and he will be much better than these blocks.

IPL will be a good platform for players making a comeback to at least show their fitness, rhythm, control ,Sreesanth, Munaf, Tyagi, Rahul, making a comeback, also Suyal. Pujara, Rahane, Dhawan, Saha, Murali, Mukund among the batters , to show form.

We still don't have established test seamers and a spinner. Need to do this asap if we wanna climb up rankings again. I would discard PK, Ishant, Vinay, Mithun permanently from the test team. Look for new bowlers.

Obviously Outswinger is his strength but I have seen him bowl some incredible inswingers as well. The last thing this guy needs is to play in the IPL when already there are concern about his fitness . D_TW you may disagree with me on this but he shouldn't play LOI cricket because his natural length to be succesful is bowling full and at that length on flat Pattas prepared for LOI he will be tonked around easily.but Sreeshanth should be definetely in the test match scheme of things.

(conditions did help him but he bowled with comparatively older ball ) saw that final east vs west ? i think can be a genuine wicket taker

I do disagree and I will tell you why. I believe this guy bowls better when playing all formats, yes there are adaptations you have to make for each format but he is not just a test specialist bowler. In ODi's he has been expensive but look at SR and number of wickets he has picked up. SR of 33 with 50 odd wickets I think. If he just bowled bit more accurate he would be a great package. Maybe he shouldn't play T20 but even then he bowled well in 07 world cup. If somone is a limited bowler, they can only bowl LOI relying on batsmen's mistakes as they can't take wickets in tests e.g Vinay Kumar. But if you take wickets at test level, which is toughest form, you should be able to play in LOI especially ODI, with a little bit of adjustment. That's what I think.

BUMP Bad news for Sree fans. He is yet to recover from his toe injury, Bowled in the nets today, didnt look good. As of now they are saying he will miss first 3-4 matches, in all likelihood he will be out of the IPL. Sreesanth likely to miss first three matches: Dravid
