Under him, bangladesh banlgawashed the kiwis, our bangla bowlers (especially our pacers) gained confidence that they never had before and also the Gladiators won the 1st edition of Bpl. Best ting about him is that he can bring the best out of any player in the world and he's fantastic! Not meaning to brag or anything but if u notice, the kiwis really struggled to score in that series against our pacers and spinners! isnt Ian Pont the same guy who was hyping up Atul sharma

I only found one interview about Sharma from Pont where he said this: Ian Pont: ....Some people who've worked with Atul have said that he's been bowling at around 100mph and in practise conditions in the net (without a batsman) his hand release speed has been clocked as high as 105mph. Now I don't know how his hand release speed will equate to actual match speed because he's never been clocked bowling in a game, he hasn't played a game of cricket for 7 years. He's been out in South Africa for the last 4 months and when I was out there working with him he was bowling at around the 90mph mark.....I would suggest that Atul is probably going to be bowling at around 90mph and that's where he'll be for most of his deliveries but he is capable of bowling much faster when it doesn't matter where the ball is going. Pont clearly claims Sharma could bowl at 90 mph. 100s of bowlers can do that. I don't see hype in this. Indeed this interview suggested that Sharma wasn't even accurate. Can we put the Sharma idiot to bed now? The media hyped this up, not anyone else.

Let me add that the money I get from the IPL isn't that great. When I started playing Ranji Trophy, in 1989-90, I'd get Rs 400 for every match. :WTF:

I saw that BD won that 4-0 but was this down to Pont or the head coach at that time? Are you saying his influence is that strong? Also, what evidence is there he can "bring the best out of any player in the world?"

From his comeback in SA to his retirement, Ganguly was among India's best batsmen. The selectors still wanted to kick him out and didn't pick him for the Irani trophy. He was good enough to keep playing. Ganguly played with greater determination than at any other point in his career. Technically solid too.

Ct said after sa he improved his technique and that was evident ,he cut short his backlift and bouncer was not so much a problem.he scored well in sa and eng got starts in aus.but technically he was better.
