karina
According to Zaheer Khan, he was not tired or anything and could have bowled again had the followon been enforced (source, HT). ZK bowled only 22 overs in the first innings. Guess Dravid forgot to ask his bowlers if they're tired, eh? Link to comment
jf1gp_1
The WORST thing about Dravid is ' date=' you could almost predict word for word what he is going to say. Each time i read a question , i almost knew what his answer would be. I do not know what stops from being forthright with his thoughts. I am pretty sure he is strict taskmaster who doesnt mince words in the dressing room. If only he opened up in public too.[/quote'] Boss thats the case with every captain. One could even predict what vaughan would have said. Link to comment

Noone believes in a three match series bowlers won't be fully charged after an over-night rest.. dravid chahe jitanee kahanina bun len.. even the living room specialists know a thing or two about cricket.... Knocked out of WC and CT in first round. could not win both test against BD and then we win a series in Eng yet people cant stop cribbing. Look at our crappy performace in the last one yr before acting like world champs. Link to comment

Guest dada_rocks
Newsflash: That's there place and job and last time I checked none of them were competeing for place in team india. He has already been made to look like fool BY revelation of ZK incidentally a bowler, wonder what ad-hominem will be pulled off by dravid in his defence now. Link to comment

jf1gp_1
and DR the above is not for you but for all those who are spending hrs scrutinizing every word that came out of dravids mouth. Why cant we all for a change just enjoy a series win. Link to comment

yoda
excellent interview. he he has spoken honestly and given the reasons for the two issues that have been bothering people. and more than anything, for those who still haven't realized it, the team has won the test series. looks like folks are looking for juicy captain/coach controversies after a series against a minnow like zimbabwe. I am sure Zak was ready for the world cup finals as well. :giggle: Thankfully Zak was overruled. dr, is it necessary for these unwarranted personal attack on dravid? he did not say that he took a vote amongst his bowlers, did he? anyways, he is something for all you dravid haters, some of who are prolly burning that all these series wins are piling up under him rather than his predecessor. :finger: Link to comment
The Outsider
Taking nothing away from Zaheer's super performance in the series, it did appear he was struggling the last innings with the thigh strain. His pace and movement were both down even after the rest. Sometimes bowlers won't be the best judges of long term injuries as well and the physios advice would have been sought out as well. If there was even a slight chance of any of the bowlers suffering a long term injury, there was no need to enforce the follow on with 7 of the most crucial tests coming up in the season. Chandan
But why did Zaheer Khan speak out??? Did he not hear what his captain said at the presentation ceremony?? Why did he want to embarass Dravid?? This is inexplicable!! Link to comment
dial_100
haha.. good one Donny... Even I agree, that as we start to win more and more, we will be ready to take some more risk. Link to comment
