Well what I learnt was that in these conditions against less than average attacks we wcan annihilate them time and time again. Indians have been very very lucky through the series with some of the decisions, dropped catches and lucky edges, but this SL team looks drained to me. Pradeep however is a good find. Seems to bowl quick without much effort. Kohli is the man. But I won't jump on the bandwagon yet. I want to see him play more against better attacks in tougher conditions.

What I gather from this series is that - In these conditions, India is an absolute beats of a team. Don't think anyone comes close to us. And we were playing without Yuvraj ( best ODI player, IMO, in any conditions) and Sachin. - Kohli is the best player in the world now. - Gambhir is also turning out to be a very classy player. - Umesh Yadav is just over hyped by us. Rubbish bowler. Doesn't even hold a candle to Irfan Pathan/Zaheer/Munaf/Nehra (when fit). - Our batsmen have the right temperament for a chase, no matter how high the target is. - Raina is irreplaceable. Great finisher, good part time bowler and very good fielder. We are winning WC 2015. I see us and Pakistan in the finals. And we all know what happens when we play them in a WC. :isalute:

That Zaheer is fast approaching the end of his international career. With his current fitness, its tough to see him bowl the way he did during 2007-2010 on flat tracks at home. Sehwag's poor fitness (which is getting worse by the day) has blunted his hand eye co-ordination and the only way he can play on for 2-3 more years is if he moves down the order to number 4/5. As an opener, he will still score runs on absolutely dead tracks but on pitches with even slight help for bowlers, he will continue to struggle. :((

I hope BCCI manages to move the next WC to sub-continent coz I don't see any team challenging us in sub-continent. I would love to see us make the most of our current lot and then we can have back-to-back WCs in Aus in 2019 and 2023
