cowboysfan Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Is this based on Superman:Earth one?.It would be tough to translate that into a movie because not much happens in that comic,superman goes around feeling sorry for himself until a bit of action at the end.

But it is very difficult to pull it off as a movie, especially in today's times I think. We have become accustomed to superheroes being one among us, being normal humans with extraordinary abilities. And humans that have inner turmoil and messed up problems of their own etc. Superman has very few of them. He is a straight-up can-do-anything superhero, and that is so much more difficult to pull off as a film. We will see, Zack Snyder and Chris Nolan, that's not a bad combo.

I think Whedon should get a crack at it next.
