matches with india = money , money for pcb = more tax revenue from pcb , more tax from pcb = more budget allocation for poor people from pak government and upliftment of those in POK. so we should support pak india cricket for the sake of increase in budgetary allocation from pak government, how ever small every contribution counts.. although where the budget allocation is routed is an other question...:cantstop:

We haven't played a bilateral home series with India since 2006 and to compound matters for us, international tours have also not taken place in Pakistan since the 2009 incident. So, it is very important for us to get something out of the series with India this year," Butt said. "When we play a home series against India, we earn USD 40 to 45 million from the broadcasting rights. Similarly, when India hosts us they earn around USD 100 million in media rights," he added. The former chairman pointed out that Pakistan board needed a steady flow of income to run its affairs. "Cricket is an expensive game to run and you need money for that. When I was the chairman, I tried to get maximum revenues from the ICC for the 2011 World Cup. But playing India for us is far more important. "Our financial position will get worse if we don't play a series with them. ^Surely Pakistan would have got a guarantee from India about the next tour at a neutral venue? Would be funny of the BCCI makes its millions from this series and does not agree to the return series.

how did pakistan's cricket board become so financially dependent on india? they are a country of 200 million, the 2nd largest cricket playing country in the world, 2nd largest fan base. they shouldn't need to beg others to maintain a steady income with the kind of resources they possess. i can understand why the sri lungans would need india to pay their bills because nobody ever watches their *****y cricket team, but why is this happening with pakistan? can someone please explain why this is the case?

Guarantees don't mean much to likes of Srinivasan and Rajiv Shukla :winky: They should give Pakis the finger and decline the return series. Would be fun to see pakis' reaction :haha:

@NFS:i din mean it in this forum alone but generally ppl wants cricket resumption with pakis(which will help them financially) irrespective of what happened to our fellow indians in the mumbai attack and this resumption will lead to another disaster for sure. we shouldn have any ties with them until they start fighting terrorism with india instead of nurturing it
