Sean Bradley Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 After Zak when we look around our domestic circuit, these are only bowlers we can invest in, keep rotating these bowlers and keep giving them chances if we have our eyes set on the 2015 world cup. V.Kumar. P.Kumar, A.Dinda, I.Pathan are crap to say the least.
Number Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 TBH, its unfair to Dinda to get clubbed in that crap there. His last over was quite bad, but it was not such a bad game for him barring 2 overs. He should get more chances before getting written off. I completely agree with everything else here.
The Realist Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 None of them are convincing at any level. The "talent" pool is drier than a mirage in a desert.

Fair enough...but i doubt he has got it in him to be a regular in this set up.

Honestly, i am sure you would agree, Ishant Sharma, U. Yadav, at times V. Aaron, and P.Awana & A.Nechim (only in IPL) have bowled some match winning spells in their career, its just a matter of giving them confidence, and show some patience...and to your convincing part, do we have any other choice? then why not try to make the best utilisation of whatever resources we have got..

Agree definetly, also I am no selection expert but just based on observations the former group look so much more threatening whilst latter group you can just tell they will be treated with disdain because they are so pop gun.

Sean Bradley Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 U are forgetting about shami Ahmed ' date='a a khan,Faisal dhudhat,Rahul shukla, sudeep tyagi they are decent too.[/quote'] havent seen anyone bowl apart frm Tyagi...
PaceAttack Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Dhoni does not like to keep real pace bowlers. He wants the slow bowlers to make his job easy.
Old guy Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 ishant- brainless yadav-too inconsistent aaron-always injured p-awana- not seen enough of him but def better then current lot shami ahmed- needs one more season atleast or will bowl like another yadav a nechim -didnt seen him bowl.. heard lot of good things but stats tell diff story... ,must be hard to be only good bowler for ur team but still..

Ishant and Yadav are in their early 20's, i only meant invest, no point investing in trundlers.
Old guy Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Ishant and Yadav are in their early 20's' date=' i only meant invest, no point investing in trundlers.[/quote'] i know but when we select them we see threads like yadav-brainless bowler etc etc we are not willing to see them flop at all expect them to be world class from go well shami ahmed was selected for a team.. yadav is def part of playing 1 in tests..aaron was also in test squad before he got injured ishant still hasnt been dropped from tests tbh if they play these guys in tests only im ok with that
BERGKAMP Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 our bowling is fooked. it will take major surgery to fix it back into something that even resembles a competent test class attack. prepare for many losses in the upcoming NZ and ENG series. all the blame is on dhoni and bcci for their love of wayward trundlers.
vayuu1 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 havent seen anyone bowl apart frm Tyagi... Shami Ahmed is the one who performed well against west indies a during our a tour to windies, Anwar Ahmed khan is 6 foot 6 inch tall left arm bowler who bowled well against England tour game against Hyderabad he is capable of bowling late 130's to mid 140,s and swings the ball both ways with his height he can be very akward customer,Faisal dhudhat is not a new name in icf,I think he plays for m.p and have heard can bowl in late 140,s,Rahul shukla is the bowling partner of varun Aaron for jharkhand ,he plays for kkr in ipl.what India need is a decent fast bowling all rounder some one like Mathews or parera and u have a strong bunch.

V.Kumar. P.Kumar, A.Dinda, I.Pathan are crap to say the least. Agree completely with OP. The faster bowlers should be favored, a few of them will come good. When in form they are all dangerous. Trundlers like Dinda have no potential in Tests and will never average below 30.
Cricket Tragic Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Dhoni does not like to keep real pace bowlers. He wants the slow bowlers to make his job easy. Congrats for making the most retarded post of the day.
