It's a business, not a university where you are being tested for original thought and that is your only deliverable. He was punished adequately for laziness in this case, its not like he gained anything or lifted some outstanding prose from a dead, unpublished writer and claimed it as his own. No publisher is going to sack a resource over this. If the publisher had his way he wouldn't even bother with the suspension. :winky:

For a start - suspending him for a decent duration not like a few days. You should note that there are so many young journalists at Times too. Doesn't send a good message.
