Pune should be a good choice. Decent infrastructure, not overburdened. Lots of sports enthusiasts (read vela students) and they've recently hosted a few international events- Armed Forces Meet and the Jnr Commonwealth Games ( not too sure). And the proximity to Mumbai always helps.

Ludhiana, Ludhiana>Chandigarh :--D
Ludhiana is struggling to keep up with the infrastructure with its increasing population and is getting quite congested especially the traffic. There are plans to build a metro there. Let's see how long it takes. If anything, a cricket stadium should've been built there instead of Mohali. We would have seen a lot more crowds at the stadium there. Btw, new development projects are planned for Mullanpur (not the one in Ludhiana but the one near Chandigarh) termed as the 'New Chandigarh'. A cricket stadium and a cancer hospital is proposed to be built there. Interesting proposed developments but let's see how well they're carried out.

Given the Common wealth fiasco, we shouldn't bother for a decade or two to even think of bidding. Spend the money on sports infrastructure.

2020? more like 2080 Delhi is the best candidate out of all cities...unfortunately, that also means the needed priority of creating an anti-rape squad to protect the visitors/athletes over any other terrorism threat
how many rape occured in commonwealth games ??:hysterical::hysterical:
