I agree with him actually I would rate Yuvraj second in a list of most effective ODI players India has produced. SRT-> Yuvraj-> Kapil Dev-> Dhoni-> Kohli and then the rest.

I really, really dont understand why trolls are being given a free rein on this forum nowadays. Every thread ends up being thrash and pure trolling in minutes. If people like DTW and Sir John had been curbed initially now we wouldnt have low-lives, attention seeking prats spoiling each and every thread. Now, whenever I want serious cricket discussion, I go to PP. Here I come just for trolling. Come on Mods, earn you awesome pay which ICF give you for moderation, improve the quality of this forum. Once this forum was so good, it was much better than cricinfo, etc in terms of pure cricket discussions and analysis. Now we only have trolls with one-liners in every thread, thinking they are so witty and clever, doing what every other idiot with an internet connection does. Hand out some warnings, clean up some posts and make this a cricket discussion forum again. This is the only quality(?) Indian forum I ever knew, make it the best cricket forum again. Over years the quality of a forum is supposed to improve but moderation plays a big part in that. You cannot have mod powers without also the responsibilty of using it wisely and strictly, even on your friends. Or this forum is gonna die a quick death Whenever you have a quality thread you see so many of the old-timers posting, Lurker, Mariyam, Outsider, Ganeshran, all can be found whenever a meaningful discussion happens. On the other hand, most of the other threads you see the usual set of suspects trolling and others dropping out of it and avoiding them. Why is trolling encouraged so much on this forum to the extent that every new comer things thats the best way to get popular here and each tries in their own fail way to just troll and troll derailing each thread

The media will do what it always does - manufacture stories out of thin air so that they can keep selling papers/airtime for ads. They nearly drove Sachin to the brink by all of the artificial hysteria over his 100th 100, to the point where it actually affected his batting in test series' against England and Australia last year. Now, it is probably the turn of Yuvraj Singh to bask in all of the unsolicited attention. I can now see why people like Dravid and VVS quit when they did. its not like they couldnt continue to play at a high level, but no decent-minded person would ever want to subject themselves to the scrutiny of media's artificial spotlight.

i think this media hype is part of sportsperson life people are emotional..they want to see success story and why will media not feed them that? it has been done before and is done in every field i dont like this.. dont even think yuvraj will do well so quickly (hope im wrong ) but this was expected..im not surprised at all

Yes, it is unfortunate, but it does not have to be like this. Either our media simply does not know that there's a line not to be crossed when trying to report on sportsperson, or more than likely, they simply choose to ignore it for financial reasons. And honestly, what can be more pitiful than our media reporting on the movement of security forces during the Mumbai siege that could have been used by terrorists to plot their moves.

yep..that incident actually made me realize just how ****ed up everything is .. i have seen news reports from american media (they are baised as hell i know ) but see recent attacking on sikh temple recently they never disclosed any relevant information..itsj ust pathetic how our media helped terrorist i dont think they any longer give people news abt whts happening they jsut give people what they want to see and make money and when major incident happens they try to report it first even if it leads to more harm :wall: anyway like i said this was expected and yuvraj i hae seen is kind of person who with some hype with crowd on his back does well so lets hope as matches progress he gets into groove :two_thumbs_up: but i dont expect much from him.. and even media should try to reduce bit of hype cos msot fans will buy this w/o thinking twice :P

arrey yar whenever u score runs at such a good strike rate nd ur team loses that does not means those were cheap runs key point here is its a team game! how come same useless tendulkar who coudlnt win anything start winning everything when 5-6 useful guys came into team ? how come he started winning matches? do u remember world cup ? now its way u look at it u can only look at final and say he failed but who got us into final ? he has been such a gr8 player for us we will only realize what we had after he iwll be gone..(ad he should go now as time has come ) to be dhoni owuld not have own half the matchesh e win w/o yuvraj,raina,gambhir,kohli scoring runs from other side hope u get wht im saying in odis atleast there is no way to say that runs are cheap when they are scored at such good strike rate :) btw i never called u troll i jsut questioned ur logic now that u explained i was able to reply properly ..(i thought we know each other enough now . :P andi have questioned u before too sehwag logic :finger: )
