But honestly speaking, I hope this happens but I don't expect he will do it - at least not until the SA tour is over. As for replacement, if Dhoni does go then Kaptaani will go to a youngster - problem is that no youngster has completely established himself at the test level.

I think he is hoping to finish SA tour with a bang. As of now, only Rat or Che could be seen as future captains, but for some reason I see a dark horse in Ashwin. He is very close to Dhoni, ala the CSK connection. You are always gonna need a spinner in your test side, whether overseas or home. i think he just might edge it out. Its all just predictions now.

Ashwin's round the wicket bowling and turning it towards leg side with a leg slip and a short leg on. Root tried the "get out of jail" shot.
