Raghav_12 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Most people used to say goody goody things about us in the 70s and 80s when we used to lose everything and had no say in World Cricket. Now most of them hate us. Take it as a compliment. But in even in 70's and 80's we didn't lose as much we did in last year and half, starting from England tour.
Mariyam Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Can't believe I've to quote from a Abhishek Bachchan movie to defend our team: " jab log tumhare khilaaf bolne lagein, to samajh lo tarakki kar rahe ho" In the 60s, 70s and the 1400s, Indian team didn't amount to much. There wouldn't be any reason for anyone to hate the team. You don't see many people hating on the Jordanian or Peruvian cricket teams, do you? Now we're the centre of cricket both on and off the field. Its understandable that fans of mediocre teams hate us. :dontknow:
Crookbond Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 But in even in 70's and 80's we didn't lose as much we did in last year and half' date=' starting from England tour.[/quote'] Because we did not play as much ... !
NareshK Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 But in even in 70's and 80's we didn't lose as much we did in last year and half' date=' starting from England tour.[/quote'] Won against England ODI series 5-0, Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka 4-1 (which is very tough), beat NZ in test series 2-0. India only lost 1 game in Asia Cup against BD and didnt qualify for final because SL lost to BD. That was a rough deal.
Ultimate_Game Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 You need to get out of this victim mentality mode and stop acting like padosis where everyone but themselves is to blame for their shortcomings. No team owes us anything and it's up to us to look out after ourselves which we have failed to do in recent times. The very fact we have to depend on other teams to do us favors means we were not good enough and deserved to be knocked out. Let's learn from our mistakes and improve rather than throw a self pity party.
Crookbond Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 UG, CSK Fanatic is a troll man ... do not discuss anything serious with him.

We couldn't beat B'desh and are blaming Loins for losing to Bangbros :haha:
Ultimate_Game Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 UG' date=' CSK Fanatic is a troll man ... do not discuss anything serious with him.[/quote'] But that's a common theme I have heard the last couple of days. These "we were unlucky", "others hate us", "other teams kicked out us on purpose" doesn't help us at all. We need to look in the mirror and admit to our shortcomings and make sure we don't put ourselves in the same position again. Let's take it on the chin and move on without making excuses or blaming all and sundry for our shortcomings. If you have to blame someone, there's plenty of blame to go around within te team and selectors. Let's have an introspection but no point in deluding ourselves.
saket123 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 AUS and ENG both hate us for the same reason.. they just CANNOT digest the fact that a non-white country holds so much power in the cricketing world. Unlike SA that has seen the brunt of apartheid and the younger generation South AFricans are sympathetic to the victims of racism.. England, as every body knows.. is the inventor of racism and imperialism. It is in their blood to view others condescendingly. Australia has much of the traits of the typical English.. with ungentlemanly boorishness and arrogance added into the mix. Pak and SL also hate us for a common reason shared between them... they don't like the fact that India progressed so much over the past 2 decades while they are pretty much the same or have gotten worse (like Pak). Believe it or not.. sometimes it IS pure jealousy.. as much it may be a trivial emotion for us.. it is the underlying cause for many of our haters. But India luckily, couldn't care less about what others think.

PaceAttack Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Our fans don't help our cause either. :hysterical:
SLICKR392 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 And everyone hates Murali Vijay. :haha::haha:
Pioneer Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 No one hates India. The fans on the other hand...:icflove:
saket123 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 No one hates India. The fans on the other hand...:icflove: Between the fans the politicians.. that's the entire country dude. :winky:
Executioner Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Even Bangbros hates us. I saw lot of comments on cricinfo about how Bangladesh is better than India and they should be playing the Champions Trophy instead of us. And Indians hates Bangladesh after what happened in World Cup 2007. We always complain about how bad Bangladesh is, and how their test staus should removed. many bangladeshis hate indian cricket team because India havent invited us to play a match, discr our team and watever but thats the fans, the board and players are friendly towards india
HyroProto Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Simple reason..YOU.. indian fans are the most arrogant cricket fans in the world at the moment..even the Aussie fans weren't this bad when they had that unbeatable team of theirs... other than Sachin, Dhoni, Shewag, Irfan..All the other players.. specially Kholi, Yuvi dont seems to even know what the word humility means... The more you lot try to put down & abuse other countries fans & their teams..the hate will grow more.. I watched the India vs. SA match live at the stadium... all the Sri Lankan Muslim fans were supporting Pakistan obviously..but almost all the other sri Lankan fans, SA fans & some of the Aussies in the section of our stand were cheering Pak when they qualified.... and it was the same arll around the stadium except for the people who had come from india & Tamil fans who hav their relations in India... Sure u guys hav the best batting line up currently in world cricket... well the best batting line up for None bouncy & None Swinging surfaces anyway..but how you abuse other country's fans & the way some of your younger cricketers behave.. yeah so not only Pak, SL & Bangla.. almost all the other fans of other countries hate your guts.. and yeah...we all r still laughing our asses off at ya for going out the way you did & the irony of Pakistan going through over you... Irony does hav a great sense of humor it seems

Iconoclast Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Well even WI and Ban hate India ... go visit there respective cricket forums and see. I guess it's because of online trollish behavior of some Indian cricket fans along with the obvious BCCI thuggery.
