I don't think any true cricket fan would hate a good player regardless of the fact that from which country he belongs to, the hate I think is because of the cricketing culture of a particular country, for example I really like sanga as a player but I hate him the most as a person because of his behavior on the field the way uses cheap tricks to unsettle the opposition.. so I think no one hates the whole team,those are the specific players Fans. dilike.I am a Pakistani,the biggest haters as per this thread but I love kohli and dhoni from the current team..

actually i was pised too initially, but then realised. they were not celebrating indias exit or paks entry, they were celebrating paks entry at the cost of indias exit. I thinks Indians would have done the same.

Simple reason..YOU.. indian fans are the most arrogant cricket fans in the world at the moment..even the Aussie fans weren't this bad when they had that unbeatable team of theirs... other than Sachin, Dhoni, Shewag, Irfan..All the other players.. specially Kholi, Yuvi dont seems to even know what the word humility means... The more you lot try to put down & abuse other countries fans & their teams..the hate will grow more.. I watched the India vs. SA match live at the stadium... all the Sri Lankan Muslim fans were supporting Pakistan obviously..but almost all the other sri Lankan fans, SA fans & some of the Aussies in the section of our stand were cheering Pak when they qualified.... and it was the same arll around the stadium except for the people who had come from india & Tamil fans who hav their relations in India... Sure u guys hav the best batting line up currently in world cricket... well the best batting line up for None bouncy & None Swinging surfaces anyway..but how you abuse other country's fans & the way some of your younger cricketers behave.. yeah so not only Pak, SL & Bangla.. almost all the other fans of other countries hate your guts.. and yeah...we all r still laughing our asses off at ya for going out the way you did & the irony of Pakistan going through over you... Hate is a big word for a sport mate, you seem to have lots of it. There are many feelings vis-à-vis India. The world actually 'worries' about India for our poverty, 'frets' over us for our corrupt governance, 'prays' for our economic miracle to hold good for the world along the line of china,'laughs' at us for our movies,'wonders' overs how we stay together as a country despite our differences, 'fears' because of our sheer size, sure you can add the pakistani/ muslims of BD/sl 'hate' for India into the mix, but tell me whom you guys don't hate for it to be relevant ? you guys hate america because they are kafirs and good ones at that, you hate Danes because they draw catroons, you hate Israelite's because they are jew, you hate Brits because they are rich, you hate Hindus because they worship symbols...so it hardly matters that you hate us, the topic of interest if you note is 'why you hate us in a cricket field'.. that's because we are better than you Pak,SL and BD.

Imo, many Indians are hated by both the opponents + Indian team itself. You can see here in this forum on how many "Indians" are simply deluded and believe they know everything. Quick to over react on every defeat and then hurt the cricketers on a "personal" level. But, imo the key reason is population itself. Say 15 angry cricket comments, 10 will be Indians. Perhaps that explains why we see so many pathetic Indian supporters.

Speaking as an English fan I have to say that the Indian supporters seem to hate England more than visa versa Everytime England loses there always a lets all laugh at England thread on here yet English fans dont go mad when India loses

Naseer Hussain and Tony Greig are the reason and to a lesser extent Barbie Broad jr. Have you seen how much Indians love the likes of KP,Collingwood,Bopara ? . The lets laugh at Eng is because of the 8-0 drubbing and the resultant banter amoung smug English commentators in comparison to business as usual attitude of Aussies. Still you willl see that there is clear preference for Eng when compared to Aus. Indians uniformly love WI,NZ and SA because we have never had any bitter experiences with them as a country and its purely cricket, with Eng,Aus because of past cricketing competitiveness and events in public life ( Aus racist attacks on Indian students) and the fact that you are worthy opponents ( powerful sporting or otherwise countries) in every sense there is a bit of banter, with SC teams Indians respond to hate with more hate for purely non cricketing reasons.

Must say I find that quite an issue - calling names etc. Once off is a fine but then people get labelled one way or the other. Later, we wonder why we are so rude etc. It is right in our posts - no need to look for an answer or explanation.

We Indians, have been very nasty and abusive lately with everyone. We need to get away with this obsession of Pak, Eng and Aus. I think we should leave the past behind and learn to behave in a better way. I feel ashamed to call myself an Indian Cricket fan next to a guy who is totally going MC/BC. What the heck is this?
