I was about to write in 'Sonia Gandhi' for those positions where only a republican was standing...he he...but reconsidered and wrote in 'n/a' as that would be disrespectful. anotherhawkeye Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 ^ agree. Polls are like global warming predictions. Lot of assumptions and formulas go in to come up with a final number; if there is a slight change in the parameters or the formula, the result would be very different.

Sure its dead close in terms of popular vote, but as far as electoral votes go, the week after the first debate was the closest Romney came to winning. After Obama woke up in the second debate the story has been the same as it was approaching the first debate.

If Romney wins, a lot of pollsters including Nate Silver would be looking for another job.

Gallup suspended polling preceding Sandy, effectively for 7 days, so thats the reason for such a big change. Again polls are based on their basic assumptions and premises so wudnt mean much anyways though.
