hope its not. and harmeet, wish he was bowling today instead of bhajji. Bangladesh can play 5 man left arm attack cant we just play 2?
I would have liked Shahbaz Nadeem or Sir Jaddu on this pitch rather than Harmeet or Ojha who are loopers.

Jiwanjot has started miraculously and has played most of his innings on tracks which have a lot for the fast bowlers, facing new ball is enever easy in North India at this time of the year. He might be our next test batting star in making if he can continue his run making. Mukul Dagar and Akshath Reddy have also impressed as openers and both have also performed credibly well in tough conditions. So there three genuine openers to keep an eye on right now. Jiwanjot, Mukul Dagar, and Akshtah Reddy for future A team matches. As Gambhir and Sehwag are sliding down, we need new candidate for opening slots. Prashant Chopra has also done decently well in conditions given while opening with 1 century and 1 half century in 4 matches.

Rishi Dhawan's & B Kumar's performance is also worth noticable in thE chart...provided that they are also good with the bat..... This is my first post in ICF.....
Stil, the dont fill the definition of good alrounder. An alrounder should bat at 6 and also bowl his overs.

didnt wanted to mention jaddu , but yeah he is the only guy, who could have bowled at monty's pace. would have been much better bet then yuvi here. if only our selectors dont go by sentiment and chose right people for right format.

3.10pm Hyderabad make Mumbai toil Mumbai's bowler's have no answer to Akshath Reddy and Hanuma Vihari. Both batsmen have now reached their 150s, Hyderabad are 335 for 1. Mumbai's 441 looks puny. And Haryana's notoriously fragile batsmen have taken the score to 83 for 2 against Baroda. They are now ahead by 54, but they are headed for just one point from this match after conceding the first-innings lead.

Stil' date=' the dont fill the definition of good alrounder. An alrounder should bat at 6 and also bowl his overs.[/quote'] No necessarily. A good all rounder can be someone who will get you runs at 7 or even 8. You could call Shaun Pollock an all rounder.

:hatsoff: to punjab... sheer domination in a fairly strong gp.... good change of guard with punjab coming up and traditional strong sides like mumbai, delhi, tn, etc having up and down seasons Funny thing is that punjab's most hyped batter has sucked the most this season and yet they are playing like a juggernaut.

Alrounder's definition for test matches. One must make his place in the team at least in one discipline either as a bowler or as a batsman. Kallis and Pollock were like that. Kallis could make the team as a pure batsman. Pollock as a pure bowler. Both could contribute as bowler and batsman, respectively, too. If one bat at 7-8, he must be deserving enough to play as a specialist bowler vice versa is same for an alrounder who bats in top 6 as he should be able to bat a specialist batsman.

Their fast bowlers Gony, Sandeep and Siddarth have done a commendable job till now, especially the latter two rookies have 21 wickets apiece to their names.

Such allrounder is close to non-existent in Indian Cricket, apart from Kapil Dev & to some extent Irfan, only options are B Kumar & R Dhawan, who r young & can be developed....otherwise we only have likes of Jadeja, Yusuf..etc

He is a bowler who can bat and that is it. Lot of bowlers who can bat score runs in lower order in Indian domestic cricket likes of Ramesh Powar has multile 100s, so we cannot term all of them alrounders. B Kumar is one of them too. He is a decent bowler.
