Start writing a book on Tendulkar (may be rope in some other giants from ICF as well) and once some of the content is ready, contact a publishing house to fund it. As soon as Tendulkar retires, get the book ready withing a few months and publish. You and stuff no one else has. You can not only give amazing stats, but you and the other ICF giants can also give the stats great meaning with some great analytical and literary skills and the world will benefit a lot from such a wealth. And that will be a great retirement gift to the master.

Cricket Tragic Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 BUMP The Boss now has a WC winner medal and to add icing on the Cake has now more than 2000 Runs in Worldcups ( 2278 ). The next best is Ponting at 1743 ( a difference of 535 runs ). No one else has any remote chance of getting closer to Boss. AB Devilliers is the only young guy that can possibly play 2 more Worldcups and get closer . He currently has 725 runs from 2 worldcups. But here is the killer stat : Boss now has 646 more runs in WC's than Inzi and Anwar put together and in 9 less inngs . Infact Inzi's tally of 717 from 5 worldcups was almost matched in just ONE Worldcup in 2003 when he made 673 runs :phehehe: But what would be truly some PWNAGE is if Boss playes another worldcup and scores about 400 runs ( yes I know Iam greedy ) he would then have scored the runs made by Javed+Anwar+Inzi all by himself and the scary thing is it would have taken him about 30 less inngs :omg: And yet there are people who have doubts about the mans greatness. :cantstop: Boss Even Ab has no chance since he is about 1500 runs behind (will get closer like you mentioned but won't beat it). If he plays 2 more WCs, he'd have to make about 750 runs in each. Not possible. It would be tough even if he plays another 3 WCs.

Anyway, the first parameter called Contribution to Team Index (CTI) has been analyzed I shall be writing an article on it soon enough. It basically categorizes performances as : top scorer performance, Significant performance, Supportive performance and based on how frequently a batsman has performed those 'performances' his CTI is calculated. Of course this is for Tests only. Edit - Boss Bhai: if you are looking for fellas to collaborate with on a book about the Buddha you know I am available...both from stat analysis perspective and writing with a sense of pomposity ;-)
